I only have 2017/18 Revolution to go off of, but I agree the Galactics are overrated. A few of the other base parallels from that year look better to me than the Galactics.

I understand that people will get a BGS 9.5 Gem, crack it and send to PSA and then when it comes back without a PSA 10, they send it back to BGS. People love that PSA 10, so it's not a dumb move.

I still think it's a 13-18 print run.

this may have already been said but i feel a lot of their appeal depends on the rest of the cards design... due to this, some of the variations don't "kick" like they should. My Bobby Portis Rookie isnt that impressive to me (look-wise) and the Lonzo ball Starburst version and my Cubic autos are very appealing but i have seen other Galactics that are just gorgeous.

Yes! The From Downtown/Downtowns are nice. I have a couple of Simmons and Curry and plan on trying to build the original 16-17 Studio set at some point. I love sets that are fun and different. The relatively high print run has kept prices pretty stagnant, and there's almost always one of a given player from a given year that's available. Maybe by the time I get around to it they won't be as affordable, but the difference with Galactics is that if you miss early, you might be waiting a really long time for a particular card to pop up.

Kabooms might be something you'd like. They're honestly a little too over the top for me... the cartoonish design and consistent background from year to year kinda kill it for me.

I don't like the Velocity stuff myself, but to each his own. Impeccable doesn't really fit the bill in terms of super cool and all that, but gaddamn they're some stunning cards. The Numbers sets in Impeccable is by far my favorite high end product. I have a couple Currys that I absolutely love.

I'm also on team futura. That's the best looking parallel to me.

Cubic is my favorite. I like the design and the print run.

This is very true. 17-18 and 18-19 base aren't really the greatest in terms of Galactic pop. The 18-19 Supernova is holy sh** levels of awesome. They're not my personal favorite in terms of Galactics, but they offer the most pop if that's what you're after.

I just want to add that I wish the Lava parallel was red. I don't like that Panini makes every numbered parallel in Revolution the same blue color.

I would also like to add that the unnumbered Fractal parallel is my favorite after Galactics.

Fractals look awesome. One of the best unnumbered parallels Panini makes IMO. The red would work great on Lava if it weren't for that dang Chinese New Year!

I really like Futura /25 and Sunburst /75, however as a case hit Galactics is tops. Lava /10 and CNY /8 do nothing for me. I’d take a Futura /25 over a Galactics but that’s me, I love Galactic’s don’t get me wrong but they Futura’s are sick and severely underrated.

I will say... head on, without moving the card, Futura is the best parallel, but nothing dances at different angles with different lighting like the Galactic. I think the Cosmic is the best of the rest.

I only own a 2018-19 but it's ugly. I like the logistics of the set but otherwise it doesn't appeal as much to me as it does some other people.

These ones are /50. They're called future frames or hyperplaid but if you search fathers day /50 they'll show up.

Revolution futura are /25

They are nice, but are overpriced. People are hoping these are pmgs down the road, but will be disappointed imo.

I don't think that they will be Green PMGs, but what else do you think will be the highly sought after chase cards of this generation? The main reason that I think they have a chance is because they are neck and neck with Prizm Golds as the best-selling LeBron parallels of the Panini generation.

Another way to examine this is:

1. Go to the PWCC archive and look at all completed LeBron sales descending by price
2. Ignore all rookie cards
3. Ignore all 1 of 1's
4. At the top of the remaining list are (a) galactics and (b) prizm golds.

https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/mark...ms_per_page=50 (this is just a search for "LeBron panini")

If you look at old Beckett's, the highest valued Jordan's in 1999 are by and large the most sought after and highly valued ones today. It's both inertia and eye appeal.

The complexity of the pattern is why I love Galactic's. They're truly my favorite cards.
Unique and a ton of shine.
I also really like Futura, Cosmic, and Sunburst. However, I'm not a fan of Cubic.

Here are some of my favorite Galactic pics from the PC:

2016 Revolution LeBron Galactic by Nate Flesher, on Flickr

2016-17 Revolution Kawhi Galactic 242 by Nate Flesher, on Flickr

2018-19 Revolution Russell Westbrook Supernova Galactic 350 by Nate Flesher, on Flickr

2016-17 Revolution LeBron Star Gazing Galactic 1900 by Nate Flesher, on Flickr

2015-16 Revolution LeBron Showstoppers Galactic 45 by Nate Flesher, on Flickr

P.S Galactic's are underrated!

I was taking pictures of mine last night, and thinking how criminally underrated they are. I’m relatively new to collecting but I would put galactics as some of the top cards I would chase of a PC player. Now that Optic is getting some love revolution as a whole is probably my next favorite set, then Select. I also think that the revolution rookie autos should be way more sought after then they are, besides this year designs.

I'm a sucker for aesthetics and subject matter. Sorry but Galatics don't do it for me. I can't get behind a "player only image." Topps Chrome in game action shots are second to none, plus they're shiny. I like Prizms too but prefer Optic for the same reason. 2008 TC Kobe w/Lebron guarding; 2016 Optic Lebron going to the hoop over Kobe; 2009 Kobe dunking with KD in the photo; 96 Jordan going to the hoop over Zo.

Now that's classic
