Now FSU is a basketball school? Hilarious. Let’s see who advances in the tourney...again. Norvell was the 3rd or 4th choice, so congrats.

Let’s agree to disagree...and be sworn enemies.

We’ve advanced further than y’all the past two years what exactly are you talking about?

What is truly "mind bottling" is the sense of ownership among the tOSU fan base while they are riding high, and the convenient forgetting of Coach Cooper's ineptitude, tattoogate, Maurice Clarett in a prison jumpsuit, Herbie never beating Michigan, etc.

As if the fan base had anything to do with "accepting" any of that. It all happened outside the power of any fan to control it.

Reality. Try living in it.

To be fair, Ohio State has been riding high since the Tressel Era - I was six years old when the Vest took over. The farthest down Ohio State has been in my cognizant life was Tattoo-Gate, which was a sham on all sides (and likely cost Ohio State another national championship).

It's almost easier to look at the top programs that haven't fallen off over time - Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, and Oklahoma come to mine that haven't seen a significant dip in the 2010s at the very least.

LSU went 8-5 somewhere in the past decade, I think most would consider that a “a dip at the very least”. Also I think your recency bias is showing as LSU has only won 10 or more games in 6 seasons this decade with no national titles.

I was thinking a dip where the program noticeably falls off. Ohio State went 6-7 under Fickell but didn't miss a beat. Stability and sustained success were top of mind, everyone (except Saban) has a bad year.

Nebraska for sure.

Each year their fans believe they are going to win a National Championship.

They left the Big 12 because they couldn’t compete against OU and Texas. Moved to the Big 10 and can’t even beat teams like Indiana and Illinois.

Getting back to the subject at hand, those sure weren't the "Convicts" of the late 80s and early 90s tonight. Shut out by Louisiana Tech! Woof!

Herbie is in his 50’s

That’s where we are currently at with Ohio State hatred?

Impressive

Should’ve never fired Pelini after a 9-3 season and winning 9 or 10 games literally every season.

Same could have been said about Solich.

Im a big USC fan and they have fallen hard, which i dont get. Its a great school in a great location with plenty of history, and yet cant get anything going. Its mind boggling, especially with how bad the pac12 has been. Isc should be crushing it.

Just one of several examples cited.

I visited Columbus back in 2015 for a concert on the OSU campus. Took a cab back to some bars with my friends after the show and less than two miles from the campus he told me we were in the heroin district of Columbus. I think I will pass on moving there, though it sounds lovely.

I just want to know why is a 6-7 team in a bowl game? Do Bowl games even mean anything anymore, other than the money?

Unfortunately “affordable” + “Midwest” almost always means heroin ridden today.

Florida 41 tOSU 14
LSU 38 tOSU 24
Clemson 31 tOSU 0

USC, FSU and Texas all have the same number (or more in USC's case) National Championships as tOSU since 2002. So if they are all mediocre, what does that say about tOSU?

To be able to stay on top takes a good coach. When one leaves, it is difficult to replace them. USC struggled after McKay and Robinson until they found Pete Carroll and since he left they haven't been at the same level. After Bear Bryant retired, Alabama struggled until Nick Saban. Clemson was in FSU's little brother until they hired Dabo. It is ridiculous to call any of those programs a dumpster fire. They are all one good hire from being right back on top.

Umass and Uconn fall in here too, should have stayed out of main D1 and kept to subdivision

Since I'm here, Pac12 since they can keep pumping out players and decent teams but suck for bowls

BC is a tease too. Should never have changed conferences
