It sucks man, the outer pack was sealed well, one was suspect with odd crinkles though. I hope they implement something soon so these guys dont get away with this anymore. Theyve had a long free ride.

Was in a local Target last week and someone had opened an entire $49.99 box of Prizm football and opened all the packs, right there on the racks. Pathetic!

Its so unreal, I could not see myself open a sealed box and stand there and break the packs and keeping anything good. Its scumbaggery to an entire new level, its just not giving a #@#@#@#@ on top of that.

Wal Mart ultimately won't care about this as the cards are brought in and stocked by a 3rd party vendor. Meaning by the time the cards are brought into the store Wal Mart gets all the money they will get for them. Any returns go against the vendor not Wal Mart. So if they are bought and returned 100 times it's not costing Wal Mart a dime it's going against the vendor. I'd imagine that's who you should be contacting with any actual concerns. I believe Wal Marts card vendor is MJ Holding.

I will say I was talking to an excel rep in the Sacramento area and supposedly that sign someone posted about target putting up in their card aisles about people loitering is legit and should be making its way around soon. Not sure how much it will deter people or if it will be enforced but one can hope. For many of us retail is the best option from an affordability stand point so scumbags like this really sucks

I can’t tell you how much I would enjoy seeing someone doing this in person. I can guarantee you they wouldn’t be as brave doing it again.

These guys are treading very precarious waters.

It's only a matter of time before Exel issues a memo to all the stores to lookout for these sort of antics...and they find themselves in the backseat of a cruiser.

Hmm that's unfortunate, I'll see if I can somehow contact MJ holding, not sure what they would do though.

I am in the same situation. I didn't know what to look for as far as resealing until the post here recently and looks like I was the victim of this from Target. Be careful at va beach targets, folks.

I know I just got 3 full gravities 20 megas and a case of cellos. This is the first time I haven’t busted them and have left them in the car. I’ve been through 6 gravity boxes and about 30 megas. Now I’m wondering if I won’t even be able to sell them later if this pack searching and repackaging is getting so bad no one will trust anyone enough to buy product

It's pretty cruddy man, I've never seen it being done, just the remnants of it like loose cards and empty boxes. I'd like to catch someone doing it!

Exactly why it pisses me off, they really screw things up for us, especially over here where they don't even sell basketball packs at many places, it's desolate.

I'd record them doing it!

Hopefully something is done by those who are in a position to make those changes to get these fools caught.

That got me to thinking, people have been bulk buying products like CRAZY lately, what if some of those have been tampered with?

Every time I run into the excel/MJholding person, I tell them to to tell their boss to tell the respective store to not take returns at all due to resellers and crap like in the original post

So did they really just buy one pack and return it? Although it does seem impossible to stop this kind of behavior, I would imagine that they can't do this scam on a large scale.

I sure hope so, stuff like this seems minor to outsiders but there's lots of money in this industry, serious stuff.

I think I'll have to forward them to this thread and figure this out.

It was 2 packs and the bonus pack, I only opened 1 pack. Unfortunately they already are doing it on a bigger scale, another member got hit by the same scammer in the same city:

His haul was much bigger than mine too, same dude putting baseball cards in the packs.

In my mind it's a worse offense than simple shoplifting. They're double dipping by getting full refunds while also retaining the best aspects of the product and defrauding with decoys. I'd guess these are multiple legal offenses.

Put it this way...whomever is the first to get caught for this probably needs to schedule a nice TBD leave of absence from their place of employment.

This is true. Like buying a watch, taking the diamonds out of it and returning it to the store.

Wait until you realize that some of the distributors themselves are involved in this.

I know I know conspiracy theory but I am fairly certain of this.
