Not going to sell out that quickly with how Panini is triaging the orders. It will take a “long” time.

Not with the new system. Whatever anti-bottle necking hack they designed pretty much limits how many buyers can checkout at once. There will be waves of checkouts. I'd guess another 20-30 min again. Not because the product isn't hot, but because Panini's bandwidth will only allow so many orders to process at one time.

My concern with this release is how loaded(or not it will be). Outside of the bonus cards will it just be base autos? There's a lot of hobby and even retail of this product that is going to be released. This isn't a case of Immaculate where all the product was online. It'll still flip well - i'm just trying to decide if a /18 sticker auto off a non top guy is worth my time to break. I'm interested in the Gold/Gold Vinyl/Black versions over green ice.

My body is ready... I probably won't be opening these though. I got my fill with immaculate.

Speaking of the new system, all of those folks who were advocating for a "lottery" system pretty much got what they wanted. The new system definitely functions like a lottery. You'll have 20-30 minutes worth of attempts to get into checkout. It's the fairest measure Panini could have put in place. I really like it.

Yep. I'm a huge fan. It sucks being stuck in the same screen for a while but hey, it's probably the best option.

How does the new system work? Better on desktop or mobile?

Last time I tried was the contenders and it was a disaster

I’ve been successful on both. Basically only allows a fixed number of people to enter the check-out process (once it reaches max capacity, you see an error when trying to check out).

Would you say one has more chance using the website or the mobile app? Any experience with this?

I think they'll be pretty cautious. Contenders went downhill pretty fast and I see this being every bit as watered down.

I think $250 could be the offer out of the gate. We'll see how hard it is to buy though.

Made me lol . . . me, too. My FOTL batting average started out decent, but I'm now way below the Mendoza line. Haven't gotten a box since Optic Basketball last year.

In theory, yes this should be the case. But the last few releases have gone with so many issues that it isn't demand that prevents the quick sell-out it is the inability for ANYONE to get through the site. Crashes etc

I concur with this. They will start at around $250. Then depending on first few eBay sales my thought is they raise it to around $290 where it will sit for a bit

I somehow scored a box of NT football last year. No basketball at all last year

I was the opposite. Couldn't get NT FB for the life of me but got two on BB.

I’m thinking BO puts the offer at $250-275. Most likely will have the same sort of checklist as contenders but only 5 autos. And prizm autos are less desirable. There are the parallels going for it so it will also depend on the demand for those, obviously Zion will have demand but nobody knows with 90% of the players

Kinda weird that they are putting so many autos in each box. Usually basketball has less than football, but I guess it means less boxes with all scrub autos, prolly will be 1-2 decent autos and the rest scrubs, which is pretty cool I think
