This shouldn't shock anyone. The biggest problem with the "pitching staff" he put together was 523 walking in 143 games. That's over 3.6 per game! He put together a staff that couldn't pitch and then had to work them like a rented mule. There's nearly nothing in the farm system to boot so don't let the door hit you on the way out Dave.

Was that Sabean's Call or the new GM?

I will say Fools Gold yes, However in a market like SF you play to a different animal than a market suck as NY or Boston. You have to take any chances you get. Just make the playoffs & anything can happen.

Thanks for not making me look like an idiot I forgot Sabaen was no longer gm yes anything can happen in the playoffs but to give up a lot of their future by not trading Bumgarner for a lot of draft choices hurts.

Not much at all. They were just talking about this last week though.

I disagree. Perfect timing, gives them the ability to act quickly once the season ends. No moves to be made with the roster at this point so you're losing nothing by letting him go now.

So where does DD land?

Which front office is due to be torn down?

KC? Pittsburgh? Cincy? Montreal? Portland? NL NY? Denver?
