If you woulda saw the card first, you would not have send a message asking them to raise their price. You woulda hit that BIN and made a thread about it when you got it in hand. |

You've got to be kidding with this witchhunt. All phdbeckett said was along the lines of "Wow, I wish I saw this and hadn't missed out. That was a great deal. Let me know if deal falls through." How many times have you seen this at the B/S/T thread where some member posted "That's a steal, congrats. OP, let me know if deal falls through."? If phdbeckett tried to talk seller out of deal and convince him to cancel deal, I agree he was in the wrong. But here? For saying "Let me know if deal falls through because BUYER BACKS OUT"? Give me a break. |

Douchebag move by PhDbeckett...
And he says “I did not offer to buy the card”...what about when he writes “let me know if the buyer backs out”??? Why would the buyer back out of a BIN??? Telling the seller the card is worth 5x and saying “‘lemme know if the buyer back out” is 100% offering to buy the card |

Rofl "He did not offer it to me, nor did I offer to buy it. An subsequently I have not or will not buy it." In the screenshot- "Let me know if the buyer backs out..." What's that supposed to mean? |

If you could kindly remove yourself from this thread, I think it would be helpful. I know Community College Beckett likes you in here, because you are a useful distraction, but I think it would be to your benefit. God bless.

Couldn’t I message every seller of an item I’d like and say “jeez, I would have paid a lot more. Let me know if the deal falls through.” Would that be acceptable?

Seriously it's not hard to read between the lines
He mentions how he could've gotten more and then adds the "let me know if the buyer backs out" basically giving the guy the idea to cancel the transaction. Also like many said, how do you explain "let me know if the seller backs out" with "i have no intentions of buying the card?" |

You don't agree with which of the below: 1. For saying the seller is wrong 2. For saying phdbeckett is wrong if he convinced seller to cancel deal 3. For saying always hear both sides of the story before making accusations |

If phdbeckett was less of a jerk, he might have let there be a few days pass so the transaction could have been completed. Had he messaged after, say, the typical time for a non-payment case to be required, then it might be a bit better and he might have been able to buy it if the buyer backed out. Instead he stiffed him. And it's shameful. And your white knighting is also shameful. |

The latter is setting the stage for sabotaging another collector's good deal. Onus on selling price is on the seller to research. I bet every dang person in here would be furious if someone pm'd every seller they ever bought from that didn't know what they had or were selling at a bargain price. Or do we expect Phd would have said jack squat about this card if he saw it and pulled the trigger first? Get real. He would have bought it and left the seller in the wind. |
