If you had him signing on the same day as Jason Witten in your pool, you win.

So a touch over $25mil per year...little lower than I expected but then I didn't expect 13 years either. My guess is that he sees how the MLB is trending toward younger players and didn't want to be out of a job at 36.

So does this clear the way for Cardiac Craig Kimbrel to go to LA?

He was always going for the money. That’s Boras MO. Take the most money, if you don’t like being there we will get you traded.

I know that got him just over Stanton's 13 year/$325 mil contract, but I still can't believe that he's agreeing to $25ish million a year with no opt out.

About the same maybe? No longer a franchise player but now with a more dedicated fanbase. Idk

That's a lot of hair gel and skinny jeans he can buy. I'm jealous.

What Harper are they getting? If it is the 2016/2018 Harper then Philly may regret this deal pretty quickly. The supposed front loading of the deal (haven't seen this confirmed yet) is actually good for both parties.

Still going to hurt at the back end.

Given Harper's injury history, this could be the new front-runner for worst contract ever.

Nope, Trout goes well in excess of $400 million. Harper isn't really in the same league as Trout anymore.
