About a week too late after the mid 5s, but I've bought in at BTC/ETH/LTC last Thursday and again at today's dip. Any good altcoins to check out? Looking at getting XRP and OMG. Also looking at getting a hard wallet since Tether being hacked could be bad for other sites

I think I brought up investing in BTC in the stock thread when it was less than $1k per bit.
I recently unloaded few coins to redo our kitchen and I plan to hold on to the rest to see where it leads.
I think it had potential to break $10k+

A Coinswap just started within the last 24 hours as well. A little over 2% of the old coin (now known as CXX) have been exchanged for the new CSC at a rate of 1000:1. The new CSC will be ripple based and 40billion coins will exist.

I sold 250@373, 300@394, 75@400 of Eth so missing about $250 of potential profit even though I was in at 340, and then 8 ltc at about 75 so another 100$ miss there. Bought 1500 xrp shares and still have 200$ of ltc and eth purchases pending from when it was lower

I think most of the bitcoin/crypto detractors have all but disappeared.

That's kind of what happens when you have this kind of exponential growth and mainstream adoption in just a few months.

This is just the start of the institutional money phase as well. Futures market launching soon. 2018 will be a lovely thing.

Been making a killing swing trading alts. Another 20 percent overnight on Stellar. Holding on though as it just broke out of a huge bull pennant. Never thought I'd ever be so into TA and charting, but it's addicting.

Alts are where it's at right now. Pick right and you will only increase your btc holdings. I think the biggest mistake some people make is not understanding the alt:btc pricing correllation. They jump into an alt that increases and wonder why their overall btc portfolio value decreased. It's because bitcoin outperformed that alt any given day/week/month.

But I am expecting some sort of market correction once 10k btc hits, which will only make many of the alts boom in value. Have quite a few already stocked up anticipating the jump.

I've been in the market long enough to know XRP is a huge gamble. Why? Because just like gold and silver, it's owned by banks. But it sure is a shorter's dream.

OMG is 'okay.' But the developer is shady and really has no long term sense of urgency or direction. Which is what made the price pull back a few weeks ago.

Stratis looks very nice for the short to medium term. Will be hitting a new exchange tonight.

I'm heavy in siacoin right now. Huge room for 100-300% gains short term.

Huge believer in alts that are near all-time lows with solid fundamentals and future outlooks.

Officially 10k and another 30 percent profit (with 2.5x margin) on str last night.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I'm not dreaming because the money is just way too easy right now. Kind of regretting not getting into/learning daytrading years ago...

I'm seriously thinking about putting my tax return into bitcoin. Is it really just as easy as downloading a wallet and then going to an exchange site and hitting purchase? Is $2000 enough to get started?

Getting a mobile or desktop wallet is very easy.

The exchange part is something I'm not familiar with, but I've heard they may limit you initially. Also have heard there are some that charge high fees to purchase with cc. Finally, some may ask you for ID and social.

I've obtained my bitcoin from a private sellers, I don't want a middle-man.
