I don't think TBP will be logging on to the Topps site today with these 3 cards. That Buehler card is not good. Undefeated Griffey is even worse. Glad we have a Tiger and happy to see Kaline, but just not into the Pose puzzle piece style. Best card of the day though.

I'm not saying she's not talented, its just not something I feel a desire to own. I get it its going to be a photo realistic portrait with a bunch of inlaid images. To me it would work much better as a larger portrait than a card.

I do agree that her prints are fantastic as well, but you can see the details even on the card. I assume you did not purchase the Judge?

The Gherig is better than the Judge, there's just too much going on in Judge's uniform. I guess you could say its also the color pallet, both cards are pretty dark.

I do believe we will see more color in her cards as we go along as well. She just had Yankees as her first two cards. But when she does prints of Trout or Cubs players the team colors do stand out on those prints.

It does also sort of feel to me that she's just taking her art and layering on topps logos and font rather than designing a card. Its perfectly fine and its a great way to get more people exposed to her work, but its just not in my wheelhouse.

buehler: really nice card creation, if I had even an ounce of interest in Dodgers/Buehler, I'd buy this one for sure.
griffey: meh, definitely got an p2020 OMA [insert photo plus slightly altered border] vibe going with these..
kaline: different which is generally good, but not a player I have interest in, and not a tigers fan. pass

I get the sentiment though, I've browsed her online shop/assortment, and though this is only her second p70 card, unless you're a yankees fan (and/or just a huge fan of hers), you/we may see these and be left feeling like, "okay, what's next?"

Having said all that, I think she is extremely talented, and I absolutely anticipate buying multiple p70 cards of hers, just not the first two since I'm a Mets fan.

I'll compare it to the Shore Tatis. Is he as talented of an artist, no, but you can tell he put a lot of thought into making a baseball card.

Completed a Nolan Ryan player signed set today with Shore's arrival. Enjoyed seeing someone's Mattingly recently too. Those who have framed their sets look great. Now for that Efdot companion at noon...

Unfortunately no I missed that. I did get a Matt Taylor auto from his recent sale, and that arrived yesterday and pleasantly surprised it was #1/12.

Doing some math on the back of a napkin, averaging $100/card for the first 50 cards + $10/card for the last 350 cards is reasonable. The audience for a complete set is a niche within a niche within a niche, and I assume most of that sub-sub-niche already has a complete or near-complete set.

Gumstick ... I'm digging your site! I really like filtering the base cards by artist so I can see all the images together as one final gallery.

A couple of things that would be cool:
- I didn't see companion cards for P2020 (it'd be cool to see all of Efdot's companions in one spot). Did I just overlook it?
- Is there anyway you could link recent eBay sold listings to each card? That might be a cool feature too.

None of these artists should be for everyone, would kind of defeat the purpose. 150 1954 Aarons plus 300 US300s and 458 bat down acunas would get old, quick.

They aren't all that large, the originals are like 16x12" or something, larger than a magazine cover but not large. I'm going to need some matte between the image and the frame to really make it work well.

Not bashing LT here, at all. I enjoy her work and will support her through this project.

Yes, I'm already feeling Griffey overkill from P2020 and P70. Very happy to see the Kaline though. Gives me hope for my Eddie!

How did you get the last 6? Ryan stopped signing P2020 cards, so I’m still looking for the last few, hoping he opens signings back up in the next year or so, then I can finish his player signed set.

Also, down to needing 1 Siff auto for his artist signed set!!!
