And to all whom are upset that some of us are stashing enough sealed wax to supply a small LCS.
Just know that we also busted a #@#@#@#@ ton of basketball product between us too!!! We also don't care what you think! Have fun

For those of you who have "enough sealed wax to supply a small LCS" of this stuff...

Said it before, and I'll say it again. I sold a lot of blasters and cello packs, and, of course, I'm currently regretting it.

I've also said it before, and I'll say it again, I got back into card collecting/flipping because of COVID, after being out for quite a few years. Whatever mistakes I make I consider tuition. While I made a nice wad of cash selling when I did, if I had held I would be sitting in a much better position. The money I'm leaving on the table definitely goes towards that tuition.

Big thing is it is okay to take some profit especially on the way up. Keep a small stash that is paid for. My load of what is left (and I found a ton): 12 cellos (one with Morant on the back, yeah I looked so what), 4 Mega, 8 Blaster, 10 hanger. If just this hits close to Prizm prices it is ~ 4 k of free money. I may let them mellow for a few years then who knows. All paid for, free proceeds. And I have pocketed a good bit of coin already as well. I also wish everyone luck in their searches for Chronicles or Illusion. Wash, rinse, repeat. Great time to be in the hobby. Oh and China Tmall spooling up again....

I sold 18 blasters and 5 hangers to a local guy last week for $1500 cash. Probably could have waited and gotten a few hundred more, but there is a trigger point for everything I suppose. Also can't discount the benefit of not having to ship sealed wax, what a nightmare.

The biggest thing I learned is this. I opened A LOT of Mosaic. I was fortunate enough to get some big hits, and I'll have done, and will do well, selling them. I think it's safe to say that I would have made more just selling the boxes, but how can you put a price tag on ripping and hitting a monster?

Next go around, though, I'll be holding more. IF I am lucky enough to get some.

I opened up ALOT of Prizm, probably $4-$5k worth @SRP and still never hit the card I wanted, a Zion silver prizm. It is ALOT of fun to pull the card you want, but also a ton of fun making deals too.
I ripped 20 blasters and 6 Mosaic mega's and only hit 1 JA & Zion base. Decided to hold the rest because sometimes its wise to listen to your gut and know your luck has probably run out.

Ok I have a question for you Mo-heads.

I have the cash and I wanna rip which is the best bet?

Hobby
Choice
Fast Break

Not even going to add FOTL.

I’m leaning hobby but the price really hurts.

Mosaic has been money since week 1...no anger just seems there should be more things to life than eBay listing counts every day

Why is this thread so weird? (No offense)
I’m fairly new here and it seems like there is a lot of arguing over the resell etc.

I just want someone whose opened a hobby box, choice box, or a fast break box...To give me their opinions on them.

Thanks
Please don’t destroy me.

If you’re wanting to gauge where a price could go wouldn’t it be prudent to know how much is left available?

Some posters appreciate those who do the work and post their findings.

Only those that come in with a negative attitude get destroyed, so you’re good.

This thread IS weird in so many awesome ways. Don’t let the negativity get to you.

To answer your question, unfortunately, I didn’t open any of that, but I know some here have. Sit tight and I have no doubt you’ll get some responses.

Thank you!

I really like the Peacock but hate the fact that you only get 8 cards for hundreds of dollars. The hobby box seems better.
My last big purchase was a Prizm FastBreak and I enjoyed it but kinda wanting to try something different this time. Just wanna rip.

hobby or choice is the answer. Stay away from fast break my personal opinion though dont see the value compared to the other 2.

My pleasure!

I definitely feel you on what to get for your money. If it helps, my mind set has always been getting the most bang for your buck. 99% of the time when you rip you don’t get value, so why not help the odds a little by getting the box with the most cards? That said, a lot of people look at that situation and think if I’m gonna lose money let’s gamble! and they get fast break or they REALLY go for it and get choice.

It sounds to me like you’re a bit like me. I say go Hobby

That’s still not a bad haul at all assuming you got in at or close to retail price. I had a blast opening what I did (which is too much) but I’ll prob look to sell of the remainder soon.
