Ugh pitchers picked the worst time to have terrible starts. Going to take a miracle now to advance. Very disappointing after a very strong season

I believe I locked up the overall championship? Most amount of points I can "score" is 4 if I finish 2nd in both leagues.

Updated consolation playoff matches in ESPN. In the AL, Chitty and Ray are squaring off for consolation champion and #1 pick in the 2025 draft, with Chris and myself in the consolation 3rd place matchup. In the NL, it's myself and Eckstein in the consolation championship, and Todder and Corner in the consolation 3rd place match

I will get some summaries of where projected final standings posted later on, I'm up north right now and connections are spotty here, wanted to make sure I get the changes posted while things are cooperating

AL best/worst final possible standings:

Chitty - 6/7
Chris Lyle - 8/9
Cornerstore - 1/2
Dbacksbaseball - 3/4
Eckstein - 10/10
Hollywood - 8/9
JST - 3/4
Ksmith - 1/2
Ray - 6/7
Todder - 5/5

NL best/worst final possible standings:

Chitty - 1/2
Chris Lyle - 3/4
Cornerstore - 8/9
Dbacksbaseball - 5/5
Eckstein - 6/7
Hollywood - 6/7
JST - 3/4
Ksmith - 1/2
Ray - 10/10
Todder - 8/9

Put that together, and the overall best/worst final possible standings:

Ksmith - 2/4
JST - 6/8
Chitty - 7/9
Dbacksbaseball - 8/9
Cornerstore - 9/10
Eliminated from finishing in the money below
Chris Lyle - 12/14
Todder - 13/14
Hollywood - 14/16
Eckstein - 16/17
Ray - 16/17

Based on that - yes, Ksmith has locked up the top money slot, as the worst he can finish is with 4 points and the next closest team's best case outcome is 6 points

After that, it's still a 4-way race between JST, Chitty, Dbacks, and Corner for the other 2 money slots. Without going too far into it, there are still possible outcomes where each of them could finish in or out of the money, ignoring tiebreakers, but JST is very likely to finish in the money, and Corner needs a lot to break his way to get a payout

Chris, Todder, Hollywood, Eck, and Ray can not finish high enough to finish in the money no matter what

Really disappointed my NL team going off this week of course. Other than somehow Ohtanis 33 pts being on the bench have no idea how that happened

I am going to hold off on tallying everything up and getting our official results posted until tomorrow, and there's still a game going on anyways - but there have been some super close matchups all around this week! The NL finals and both 3rd place games are both 10 point matchups, max

And selfishly, both of my consolation bracket matchups are coming down to a matter of literally just a few points as well. Eagerly holding my breath and hoping the Mets knock off just a few more points off of Wheeler so I can preserve my 3 point lead. Looking at some of my opponents' rosters in the consolation bracket, I am not too sure how many others really participated, but I really enjoyed the consolation bracket, it definitely kept me invested these past few weeks

Holy cow, through 7 Eck and I are now dead even at 190-190. Wheeler is in line for a quality start, but also a loss, which would be a net -1 point and give me a 1 point lead. But he's also at 90 pitches and entirely possible/likely to pitch the 8th, at which point that single inning determines the NL consolation champion and #1 overall pick

Holy crap I forgot I had Harper and Edwin Diaz just struck him out! I'm now down 1 point and if no other points change, Eck and I will end up in a tie!

edit - Wheeler is in fact pitching the 8th, so this inning will likely determine a winner. I don't like my chances

WOW Jose Iglesias leads off with a hit and Wheeler is getting pulled. Matchup is 189-189, and I'm back on pace to win by a single point

Iglesias coming around to score with one more run charged to Wheeler sure would be nice for a few points of wiggle room

Iglesias forced out at second and Wheeler's line is officially closed. He'll get a quality start, so I need him also keep the loss, otherwise Eck will win. LFGMets for the rest of the night

Holy cow Edwin Diaz had my heart racing there, but Mets win! And I missed that Eck also had Realmuto in action, who struck out against Diaz so it should end up as a 2-point win for me. It's insane what matchups can come down to

Back in the morning to finalize this and all the much more important results!

And how could I forget my AL matchup? That one I also won by just 2 points. Crazy

Ok here we go. A few moving pieces in this one. First up, final standings in each league for overall standings (playoff results for seeds 1-5, final regular season standings for seeds 6-10):

AL
1. Cornerstore
2. Ksmith31
3. Jstasyk1121
4. Dbacksbaseball
5. Todderfield
6. Ray27Ray52
7. Chittychitty844
8. Hollywood42
9. Eckstein197
10. Chris Lyle

NL
1. Chittychitty844
2. Ksmith31
3. Chris Lyle
4. Jstasyk1121
5. Dbacksbaseball
6. Todderfield
7. Cornerstore
8. Eckstein197
9. Ray27Ray52
10. Hollywood42

Note that the NL finals ended in a tie at 235! I believe that's the first time we've had that happen! The tiebreaker for this in ESPN is the higher seed advancing, which was Chitty. With those put together, our final standings are as follows:

1. Ksmith31 (4)
2. Jstasyk1121 (7)
3. Chittychitty844 (8, 8749 total points)
4. Cornerstore (8, 8440)
5. Dbacksbaseball (9)
6. Todderfield (11)
7. Chris Lyle (13)
8. Ray27Ray52 (15)
9. Eckstein197 (17)
10. Hollywood42 (18)

And so, our final payouts are:

1st - $200 - Ksmith
2nd - $150 - JST
3rd - $100 - Chitty
AL regular season best record - $25 - Ksmith and Dbacks split, $12.50 each
NL regular season best record - $25 - Chris

Payouts have been allocated in LeagueSafe and should be available to you now. Congrats, winners! If you'd like to have your prize money withdrawn to PayPal rather than getting a check or linking a bank account, here is a guide I put together awhile back that should still work as far as I know - https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1535743. You can also just leave it, or a portion, sitting in LeagueSafe and use towards your entries in any league next year

We also need to set our 2025 draft orders. Picks 1-5 are based on the consolation brackets which are available in our draft spreadsheets, and picks 6-10 are based on the playoff brackets (reverse final standings. Which makes our draft orders:

AL
1. Ray27Ray52
2. Chittychitty844
3. Hollywood42
4. Chris Lyle
5. Eckstein197
6. Todderfield
7. Dbacksbaseball
8. Jstasyk1121
9. Ksmith31
10. Cornerstore

NL
1. Hollywood42
2. Eckstein197
3. Todderfield
4. Cornerstore
5. Ray27Ray52
6. Dbacksbaseball
7. Jstasyk1121
8. Chris Lyle
9. Ksmith31
10. Chittychitty844

I'll get those posted in our draft sheets soon

And a few final end of season reminders as we head into offseason mode:

-FA adds have now been locked in both leagues
-Remember that players who change leagues over the offseason are *not* eligible to be kept in their new leagues

I think that covers everything here. Lots of moving pieces so someone please give things a once over and let me know if anything looks off. Otherwise, thanks all for another fun season, congrats to our winners, and I will look forward to being more competitive here next year

Leagues have been reactivated for 2025

It's about that time - please let me know if you plan to play again this year! No worries if you'd like to drop out, just need to know if I need to find any replacements

I am working on getting the draft orders posted in the usual spreadsheet. Should be up within the hour - let me know if anything looks off

Remember that players are only eligible to be kept in the league they are signed in. If you have someone who is still a free agent, you may keep them, but if they sign in the opposite league, you would lose that player outright. Hopefully we won't have any significant players still unsigned by the time the draft rolls around, but if that's the case, they may be drafted in either league until signed, with the same caveat that you would only get to keep them for the season if they sign in the right league

Re-reading the last few pages of the thread, I don't think we had any rule discussions on the docket for this offseason, but now is your time to bring anything up if something's on your mind

I'll get LeagueSafe set up sometime in the next week or two. Expect the same timing as last year with payments and keepers due by March, and the drafts starting soon thereafter

PMing everyone out this info as well. Good luck in the new season!

Trade block - have more guys than I take right now

AL

Cole Ragans (9) and Yordan Alvarez (14) are locked in as keepers, not looking to move either. Not sure what I want to do for my 3rd yet, so all these could be available:

Junior Caminero (9)
Jackson Holliday (9)
Wyatt Langford (9)
Garrett Crochet (10)
Luis Gil (10)
Jasson Dominguez (16)

NL

Still very open ended here. I could pick 3 from this list and be cool with it, but also open to trading for a keeper from a different team too. Either way, will be hoping to move multiple guys from this list. Gallen and Chourio are probably a little tougher to get than the rest, but all on the block:

Bryce Harper (5)
Zac Gallen (6)
Jackson Chourio (9)
Spencer Schwellenbach (10)
Mark Vientos (10)
Dylan Crews (17)
Reynaldo Lopez (17)

AL Keeper Options:

Corey Seager (1)
Gunnar Henderson (2)
Nathan Eovaldi (3)
Taj Bradley (10)
Kumar Rocker (10)
Michael Wacha (12)
Salvador Perez (13)
Mason Miller (14)
Shane McLanahan (15)
Seth Lugo (16)
Tanner Houck (18)

NL Keeper Options:

Chris Sale (1)
Teoscar Hernandez (5)
Pete Crow-Armstrong (10)
Lourdes Gurriel (15)
Eugenio Suarez (16)

Likely Keepers:

AL:
Gunnar Henderson (2)
Mason Miller (14)
Shane McLanahan (15)

NL:
Chris Sale (1)
Teoscar Hernandez (5)
Pete Crow-Armstrong (10)

That said anyone is for trade in the right deal. AL team I am loaded with keepers so I am looking to either swap multiple for 1 better keeper, or pick up some extra picks, or do pick swaps in my favor. NL I don't have a lot of juice haha.

Hit me up with trade inquiries!!!
