I've never understood the point of a raw card review vs just getting it slabbed.

I recently learned that a lot of those grades get bumped down when they are actually submitted for slabbing, which just makes no sense to me.

At this point, you can do whatever you want with your Tatis and you'll be aight. I cashed out for my free 3 year supply of BOLT24 with 1 card. Got my last purple flagship RC up for auction now. Then I might consider just buying some 2019 chrome wax. This is insane for early January but makes perfect sense too. I can't wait for 2021 season!

RCR is just that, they look at it raw and give a simple, quick, cheap evaluation based on naked eye eval.

When a card is graded they put it at 10x magnification, things show up that aren't seen by the naked eye...in a nutshell, that is what the difference is.

Are the 3D cards not regarded well or just undervalued right now? Don't own any but looking to potentially buy one and was just wondering. Is it due to being an On Demand product that it's not as high as other parallels of 410?

If I were to guess, I would bet it would be because they scan like doody. Cards that look great in-person but meh in a scan usually get hampered a bit in the market.

Sweet Tatis card! Would have looked stunning as a 10 Black label....higley desirable, I have 10 cards from a complete set from 1993 Topps Finest I am going to get a RCR from Beckett soon too.

It’s not necessarily a waste of time. It’s cheap and used to be in person. No wait. A fraction of the cost. And, easier to sell raw that way.

Everything is a hold until spring training starts at the very least! Tatis Jr is very marketable and the Padres will live on National televised games this year!
