Years ago, I used to buy lots of them just searching "wcw auto".

Not so easy now, due to IP auto, keyword spamming, less for sale, etc.

I picked up a Bam Bam Bigelow last night.

Goes well with Curt Hennig and Brian Adams. Trying to get the deceased wrestlers.

I'd like a Macho Man and Beniot, but are a bit more than I'd want to pay.

I use to have a Benoit about a year or two ago, kinda wish I didn't move it now. Got $400 in trade for it when at the time I was getting around $250ish cash offers for it. I see the last one that sold on ebay was BO accepted at $400.

Yes, they made his card twice, each with a different logo.

A quantity of the cards (several dozen) were not mailed back to Topps, which account for many of the signature variations (signed backs, color, etc). These were later sold on ebay by his nephew(?), I think about 10 years ago.

I always love checking out this thread, and have for many years!

I haven't been able to find many completed auctions, so i'd love to hear your opinions on the current values for the top autos from these sets. I have a couple of the autos that I wanted but very intrigued on what you guys think are the 2017 updated values on the top cards! Mainly the deceased wrestlers (Benoit, Eddy, Macho Man, Elizabeth, etc.)

Thank you in advance, i've really learned a lot about these cards from this thread.

What is the current death total on this set now? I know even Leaf originals 2012 and 14 sets are getting up there. My top three auto sets.
So
Many cool variations and stories to some of the cards. Just the beauty of
Pro wrestling !!!

I don't think it is rarer than any other Topps WCW auto card. It just doesn't come up that often anymore. Most are probably locked up in older collections.

I just bought a Goldberg and Scott Hall from this set.

It has probably been discussed before but the thread is very long so I will go ahead and ask.

I plan to send the two cards to PSA at some point. I thought I recall reading at one point that on certified autos from a certain year prior you just sent the card to PSA and not the PSA/DNA side.

Can someone please let me know how you have submitted cards to PSA for grading from the set?

I just sent a WCW/nWo autograph to PSA for grading (just card grading, not autograph grading). I'm waiting for it to be completed, but it was accepted. This is the rule from their website:
"Autographed cards dated pre-1998 and/or those not directly from the manufacturer must be sent through Card and Autograph Dual Service"

So the way I read that is any card 1997 and earlier MUST be submitted for card AND autograph grading (much more expensive).

Thank you for the response.

The only other pack issued autographed card I have is the 2006 Allen and Ginter Mike Tyson and I after I posted I went and checked and I see it is just graded.

That should make this set more desired in graded form I would think. I have no plans to buy many but the Goldberg looked very sharp and I love to self submit cards.

Definitely sending these two in at some point.

You'll have to keep us posted if you send it in. I'm a PSA newbie, I just sent my first submission and I'm still waiting for it to come back.

Nice! Sending in cards is a lot of fun.

Here is the card. Looks sharp to me.
