That's where you're screwing up. Going after new releases you're going to be paying peak herp derp prices as it takes a bit for the market hype and prices to deflate.

Hmmm. This one sold from Mississippi.

So far the count total is:

Ohtani 3
Judge 1

I contacted one of the sellers and he said that he had obtained 3 Ohtani’s and 1 judge, so this latest one to show up could’ve been a quick flip from the one that sold from Wisconsin, the third one that the original Kansas guy owned, or could be a fourth (?) copy?

Hard to tell because none are serial numbered.

Still no other players have surfaced besides the big two.

Well, the season is off to a good start and some players have seen some increased transaction activity. Some cards from this set haven’t surfaced for 7+ months, highlighting the rarity of this recently released set. PSA grading has essentially slowed down to parking lot pace. I’m proud to announce I completed a third set recently, an ungraded one, and it was just as gratifying as finishing the first two. Now on to number 4! LOL.

In general, yes. The lowest a 2025 has sold for is $6850 raw.

The 2024’s started at about $1800, and most recently $8700 for a PSA 9.

I’d much prefer the 2024 Dodger rookie, but influencers are all about the latest flashy new thing.

The 2025 Ohtani that’s currently up is the first PSA 10 to ever be auctioned for Ohtani. Will be fun to see where this one ends at.

The pop report on the 2024 Ohtani shows 1 for the PSA 10 - that card has never surfaced but I’m sure it will garner plenty of attention when it does.

What’s also interesting is that both PSA 10’s were available as raw cards on eBay initially - and subsequently graded 10.

Serial numbers were 2/25 and 11/25.

The last raw sold for $10k.

An unstamped 2025 Ohtani has surfaced for a fifth time, this one from Mississippi.

It looks like the previous two, but it makes the pop count of this card to be as low as 3 and to as high as 5 different copies.

I actually think the 2025s look better in person than on screen - they have a cleaner and more defined feel to them.

But nothing beats the rustic nostalgia of the 2024’s!
