Got interested in Johnny Mize years back when I pulled an insert of him. Read up on his career and decided to go for his rookie a month or so back.

Nice card. Mize is probably the most underrated player of all time. Missed 3 prime years to WW2 keeping his counting stats down. 14th in SLG, 16th in OPS, but passed over for the HOF by BBWAA. He his also the only player to ever hit over 50 HR in a season with less than 50 strikeouts.

Finally got around to picking up a George Brett RC after not owning one for a while. Pretty nice looking PSA 6:

Hi everyone, I've lurked for a long time, but loving these old cards you all are posting. I really only collect pre-war at this point and it's fun to find a place to share where people appreciate the old stuff!.
Here are my latest acquisitions. ![]() ![]() Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk Last edited by droidcrijon; 10-29-2020 at 02:20 AM. |

Very nice and cool Joe DiMaggio and Tris Speaker cards. Please show off more, and welcome.

I love the S74 silks. I collect both type 1 and type 2, but prefer the type 2 because of the way the light shines through the fabric.

Thank you. I always wanted a Cobb Red Portrait and when it first became available on Net 54, I told myself I had to have it due to the centering and the image clarity. I reached out to the seller and we struck a deal. Interesting thing is the guy he bought the card from cracked it out of a PSA 1.5 slab and sent me the cert. I sent the card in with the cert and they still graded it a 2. I was very happy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hard to follow a Cobb!
Another couple of my latest pickups. I'm definitely in a Dimaggio zone and couldn't pass this card up as most of the times the registration on this card is so off. I also decided to continue my 'obscure W release collection' with a Gehrig. Edit: sorry for the weird disco banding in the image! Must be a compression thing. ![]() ![]() Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk |

Never seen that Gehrig card. Spectacular, and the Joe D is off the charts. You guys are setting an awfully high bar lately.

Some awesome stuff in here recently! Added this 49 Bowman Berra a few days ago. Going for the Bowman Berra run. Need the 48 rookie, 53 and 54 still! Will definitely post them all together when I get there!
