Gilmartin can't get the Marlins out. Three/three in blowing games this season.

Pitching himself off the roster.

Watched the Mets 2006 and 2008 "Amazin' Finishes" the last couple days. Wright's clutch hits in those were just like that.

Can't describe how great it was to see that again. Vintage David Wright.

Mets need to win the WS. No other team deserves it like this.

Werth HR. Nats don't matter though, we only need 10 more wins

Mets are now mathematically tied with the Dodgers. Dodgers lose tonight and the Mets would be ahead in the race for home field advantage.

Normally, yes. I have a tough time justifying how Cespedes takes it over Harper.

Well exactly how valuable is Bryce if his team is .500 and 10 games out of first?
Not very...

Take him off the Nats they still don't make the playoffs.
Take Cespedes off the Mets and they are still dead last in runs scored and not in the playoffs.

This was a a AAA offense before he come on the scene and sparked everything.

35 HR and 103 RBI over .300 avg if you want to combine his stats and justify his season numbers.
But NOBODY is more valauble in 2015

I like to be open minded when it comes to awards. All things equal, you give it to the playoff bound candidate if it's too close to call.

This isn't equal. It's not too close to call. Harper's an exception who keeps on chugging. Cespedes has been out of this world. Harper keeps plugging away despite all the faults Washington has.

Take him off the Nats are they aren't even close to where they are now. They could be 10 games under.

The term valuable in most valuable player is taken far too literally. How about view it in terms of player value? Harper's player value has been the highest throughout the entire season. Why? Because he's been the best player in the NL, therefore National League Most Valuable Player.

I just figure...what team would not be in the playoffs without player X

Clearly the Mets and Cespedes...nobody more important

Bryce went into the tank in the big series and Cespedes shined like he always does at crunch time.

But yes if you just go by stats Bryce will win

Cespedes is not MVP over Rizzo. Rizzo has done more in the NL for a FULL YEAR.
