Truth. Frankly people like Maher and Silverman should be encouraging voters to vote for third party candidates.

She has done nothing but surface lipservice to court the far left Bernie supporters (like myself) aside from come across as level-headed and, again, "not trump". if she were running against ANY other person, she'd lose handily. Cruz might have a hard time too, but i think almost any other Republican candidate could have won this thing in a heartbeat. now, with regard to the post content- i think the Dems are still seething over the Gore loss where there was a significant amount of Nader voters that definitely stole votes from Gore and cost him dearly.

by the way, that Clinton quote is kind of overblown.
i took it as her saying "these kids got their educations and the jobs they are able to get are not at all what they envisioned, I'd totally be right there with them supporting some sort of political revolution".

In reality, he hasn't been successful in any of his ventures; it's all a facade. He started with hundreds of millions and has bungled it ever since. He doesn't build anything or make anything anymore, he just lends his name to give the property/product credibility. That is the sole reason he vehemently defends himself as being uber successful. If that association of wealth is diminished, his brand is devalued and worthless. Steaks, airlines, water, vodka, casinos, online travel sites, Trump mortgage, Trump magazine, trump university, and so on. Failures. Which supposed billionaire do you know has had more business failures? Everything he touches is a train wreck which is why most banks will not lend to him to anymore. Which is crazy because they'll lend to almost anyone.

Trump Real Estate Portfolio: Donald J Trump Organization Luxury Residential Resort Hotel Golf Commercial Office Retail Property He's failed, and he's failed plenty. But to suggest that he's fake wealthy, and then look at the monster he just opened up on Pennsylvania Avenue doesn't make much sense to me. The man reported a billion dollar loss 20 years ago, and here is today as a primary candidate to run for US president w/ tens of millions of voters voting for him. I don't care what you or anyone says, that's damn impressive.

First let me be clear that I think Donald Trump is a buffoon and has absolutely no business running for the highest office in the land. That being said, if I were voting, I would vote for Trump over that lying treasonous POS Hillary in a heartbeat.
All of that being said, honestly, who gives a #@#@#@#@ about Donald's tax returns? Do you care because it is honestly something important to you? Or do you only care because the media tells you it is important? The guy has made and lost millions in a undeniably overall successful business career. That he may have found loopholes to avoid paying taxes is patently irrelevant in his competency as President. He did what all rich people do. That's why they are rich. |

1- Donald Trump Would Be Richer If He Had Invested in Index Funds Trump would be worth an estimated $13B, which is more than his own $10B estimate now, if he had just invested in index funds; and this article was written in 2015. Article also compares how the wealth of Bill Gates (not the best comparison) and Warren Buffet (a much better comparison) rose in the same time frame. So if he's such a great businessman he should be beating index funds or at least having the equivalent rise in net worth. 2- It really doesn't matter to me what he pays in taxes. He should just release them and say, as a businessman I take advantage of all avenues to reduce my tax liability to as little as possible. I would 100% be OK with that. But OWN it fully. Release the tax returns. I want to see his tax returns because he doesn't know what a blind trust is, think's turning over the business dealings to his son and daughter is the equivalent of a blind trust, and we would see whether the financial issues, Cuba embargo issues and more importantly the ties his personnel have with Russia have any merit. |

I want to he clear. You ride the guy for employing thousands and losing some money. BUT....you want to allow college graduates AND dropouts to back out of their student loans and all be forgiven? You want to give handouts to non working poor that are of absolutely no value to this country. You want to spend millions/billions on programs to "help" addicts that will ultimately relapse and abuse system. Talk about a fairy tale. Doesn't work that way.

Again which billionaire is shunned by banks? Quote:
1. Sure he's hired people. But he's known more for firing people. Which has been the case countless times when all his ventures failed. I would hate to be a blackjack dealer employed by Trump. "He has received at least 3,500 official complaints for failing to pay employees, contractors, and other business affiliates money owed". You want to know what the consequence is for stiffing not just his own employees but his contractors as well? Small businesses suffer and jobs are lost. Trump Accused of Routinely Stiffing His Own Employees | Vanity Fair 2. I have said on a purely economic basis, it is logical to significantly reduce student loan debt. You have a generation that needs sophisticated education and skills to compete with the rest of the world who are subsidizing their colleges. If we don't have skilled labor, our county suffers. Couple that with the fact the these students with thousands in debt can't buy cars/homes/etc. because of debt, the economy suffers. Small businesses suffer. So yes, subsidizing STEM and trade degrees is completely rational. I do not support paying for English/History/Etc. degrees. 3. Supporting non working people that are no value to this country...Dog whistle aside, I never have said that and there are millions of children, disabled, end elderly you include in that. I do feel like if you are able to work, you should and the benefits should be a supplement. I also support an enormous public works investment which should hire people in the community to fix infrastructure and give people marketable skills. Trump says he's for this and I agree with him. 4. I know you have said here that you would like to ban all alcohol/tobacco/drugs. You and Rodrigo Duterte would be good friends. And yes I do support helping addicts get clean. Would I rather spend a billion helping people get clean or spend a billion locking people in cages, I would go with the former every single time.
