Or it reflects how much they are being shilled.

I think for high end items the sales will be fine. The market is big and many will be willing to overlook who the seller is in order to obtain that rare card.

For the lesser cards, you will feel the pain if you are selling for them. I figure I have one of the bigger Buehler and Flaherty collections out there. I will never again touch an auction by PWCC. Losing me as a bidder hurts. Their stuff is generally affordable enough that if something pops up at auction that I want, I'm going to win it.

Not like really "hate", but maybe in a costly, "I like money, but this thread makes me want to buy Mike Trout cards I didn't know I wanted" kind of way.

Last night, for no apparent reason, I clicked BIN for a 2012 Heritage PSA (Which I already had!) And then this morning a 2016 Heritage Action PSA 10.

Sheesh. No eBay bucks, no reason. Just this dang thread.

Yes, but for a different reason. I already look regularly for Trout stuff and I buy fairly regular too, The part I hate is I see cards I don't want to see because I want to think I can still own them. I don't remember how long ago it was but one guy owned just about all the 1/1 Updates and was selling them in a large lot. I made an offer but he never responded. I assumed it wasn't enough to respond back to. I think I offered 75% of what he was listing.

10k sounds reasonable lol Bought it raw back in 2012-13 and had it graded in 2013, been in same slab ever since. No issues here.

The reality is PWCC is one of the few places you'll find high end cards going to auction. The majority are thrown up on eBay with ridiculous BINs that go unclaimed.

Sold a dozen gem 2011 BC refractors for about $100 a pop around 2015. A couple gem 11 TU diamonds for $250. I'm sure a lot of us have similar stories but at least I held onto a lot.

I sold the 2 BC 9 autos I pulled... didn't think he would pan out ... unloading the Harper's and Strausburg's I pulled was smart... but doesn't erase the pain

My primary Fish PC goals have been '11 RC's and Heritage + SP/SSP + PSA 10 (mainly color swaps and actions)

Recently I've been on a Heritage Throwback kick, acquiring '18 last May and '17 this May.

While I just got a chance to buy a raw '19 (which I was a bit worried about) for a great deal....Just got email grade from PSA:

Cert#@#44394XXX
2019 Topps Heritage 485 Mike Trout Throwback
GEM MINT 10

Yes!!!

My primary Trout goals were all his main 2009, 2010 and all his 2011 RC cards, auto and non auto.

Now I have no clue what to collect Trout wise. I hate cards with no auto. Maybe I'll transition to dual autos with other players or maybe keep what I have and dump $ to another player... I don't know

Earlier the better for me. Odd ball stuff you don't see often. So stuff that aren't normally auto'd but are.

It has been great being able to see Mike Trout play here in Boston. Usually they start too late for me to stay up and watch.

A couple of nice additions to the PC:

I agree. 2011 and before are best. I like how my wife says "dont be buying any stupid trout cards" lol by that she means non RC or non auto.... she hates picking up my packages at the post office and finding no auto or RC logo

I wish my wife would say that. She looked at my four packages yesterday and said "you need less cards, not more!". I had to hide my 24 Update hangers that arrived.
