Hey everyone, I have never been to the National before and I have a unique set to sell. It is the 2010 Allen & Ginter Saltiest Sailors Set. They were a very difficult pull. The kicker is that all 10 are graded BGS 9.5 Gem Mint. Only set graded Gem. My question is, if I take this set should I get some decent offers for it, or since it is a weird, unusual item will dealers just laugh and not find any interest in it? It is a cool set, but not sure if it is worth taking.

I think part of the ticket packages are a few "wild card" autos that you can use on any of the VIP's too

That is a pretty unique set. There are so many different kinds of dealers at the National that I would think someone would be interested, but they will probably buy to resell which means you won't get top dollar for it. Have you tried listing it on Ebay?

Anyone know what happens at the VIP reception (at 2:30) on Wednesday? Is it worth going to or should I just get there at 4:30 for the sneak peek?

Yes, might not be the best for you needs but if that is the only day you can make it go. Disadvantage is a lot of stuff has sold. Advantage is that you can make some good deals with many dealers on the unsold stuff.

I am more so just going to experience it, really not shopping for anything in particular, but might buy some boxes or if anything jumps out at me as cool.

In that case, I think it would be a really cool experience and not your last National.

I have the super VIP package, I will not be using the parking pass for Friday-Sunday. I have all the autograph ticket available for sale, if anyone is interested, pm me and arrangements to met up at the show for the exchange of tickets and parking passes.
