That's what they said about Favre after his clunker in New York.

Schefter still believes that Rodgers/Vikings interest is completely one sided.

The Vikings could have came out days ago and said, "McCarthy is our QB and we're not looking to sign anyone in FA, including Rodgers." But they didn't. The Vikings could kill this story at any time if they truly had no interest. Now, it's not guaranteed that Rodgers will sign with the Vikings, but they are considering it. Otherwise, why put your franchise and your QB through this type of media frenzy for days on end? Pretending the Vikings' interest is not real is fantasyland stuff.

The big college guys are just more of a sure thing (yet some bust). They're playing with/against many more future NFL talents while in NCAA, though. A lot of small school guys have great tape or combine or NCAA games/stats and can't hack it at all in pro level. (some can) ...Of course there are small school wonders, but the bust rates are a LOT higher. It's much easier to get by on ability in college (esp small school). In the NFL, it's a lot harder to run plays well and get WR separation, win contested catches block, not get stripped or hurt... everything. It's just a much faster harder game. Teams and scouts know this. |

Darnold was nothing. You are talking about the coach of the Year and the guy he traded up for. I would say Vikings are top half or top third in SB chances (and odds reflect this). They are one of only about 10 teams truly trying to put together a winner. Minn's roughest opponent is its division (defense, esp pass, not amazing either). The Lions are great player talent, subpar coach as their Achilles heel. Green Bay's always competitive and pretty well coached. Bears... lol. (but they're still among the best last-place teams among all NFL divisions!) ...the Steelers are now saying they're tired of Rodgers waiting game. (CHeyward and DK) Minn does not and has not ever had interest. They've had a week to try to meet with him and nothingburger. Aaron's gonna retire or go to NYG. Mark it down. Green Bay signing Mecole Hardman to a one-year deal is so Packers. 50 years, same script.

Well, looks like the Vikings finally took their stance. Rodgers to the Steelers should happen by this weekend.

Steelers are comfortable with Rudolph as the starter per Tom Pelissero Rodgers considering retirement Falcons have been "getting calls" about Cousins. |

Giants looking real good, Huh Rodgers? Lol. He needs to just retire. And I say this as a Rodgers fan.

Russ has been linked to the Giants from the beginning, they were just waiting to see what Rodgers does.

Imagine if one of these teams trade for Cousins and his contract instead of signing Rodgers. He should probably retire quickly before something embarrassing like that happens.

I'm with you. There's no reason to play another season at this point. Vikings were his best chance at a playoff run, and if they're deciding to turn the keys to the car over to JJ, so be it.

I think the Giants defense is very underrated and had certain issues because honestly, Jones was one of the worst starting QB's in a while. That defense was gassed by 3rd quarter. But the coaching there is some of the worst in the league. I can see a Jets situation there with Rodgers calling too many shots. There's really no ideal place for him. Which is a shame. Because honestly, his ego is more of the reason for that than his skill. He can still get it done. He's kind of become his own worst enemy. I can't say I blame the Vikings. They want to see what they have in JJ. I just hope he hasn't lost confidence after that injury. Love suffered much less injuries last year and I feel they shook him the rest of the season. Just never looked as confident. Didn't help his receivers forgot how to catch. But he just looked off. Afraid. Last edited by Ninotores; 03-19-2025 at 10:35 AM. |

you can’t ban the tush push but also allow RB’s to be pushed for extra yards in the open field, imo.

also the loins proposal for the playoff seeding is stupid. im also bias, as the 7-9 division winning seahawks made it, and produced the infamous beastmode run

I don't think it is stupid, but I don't support it. I like the division champs each being rewarded with a home game.

Diggs meeting with Pats. Not my first choice as a Pats fan but beggars can't be choosers at this point.

I don't hate Jameis in NY - as long as they don't take Sanders also. That would suck.
