Take out his first dozen games where he was catching up to big league pitching and J-Rod is hitting .333 (35-105) in his past 27.

This kid is impressive! Got superstar written all over him!

Reminds me of a Judge/Stanton the way the ball jumps off his bat.

And his Speed/Power/Average combo may be unmatched next to maybe Luis Robert or Ohtani.

The only thing that can possibly hold him back from stardom is...Mariners.

Beisbol Gods pls protect him from the perils of this franchise.

??? Mariners seemed to do quite alright for Griffey Jr. and Ichiro. They also got a DH inducted to the HOF. Throw in the fact his stats will be 5-10% from hitting in that park and facing jet lagged pitchers on every home stand. They might not win any championships but that hasn't hurt Mike Trout in the slightest. The only MLB team that has a truly negative effect on a players cards is the Rockies IMO.

Great to see him doing well. He's one of the "no doubter" prospects in my opinion. Going to be fun watching him.

Good thing wander isn't a RC - but yeah...the future face of the hobby/mlb has been lukewarm at best and JROD is quietly killing it.

(Jeff Passan tweeted earlier today that Wander Franc was must watch baseball) - he must be sitting on a large stash of 19 BCA

I honestly think they'll eventually be the younger version of Soto/Acuna and Vlad/Tatis - a constant battle for supremacy among two player with similar debuts. Wander's hit tool is simply too good to stink it up. They both have the charisma and the ability to be marquee players for a decade and change. As a baseball fan, I'm rooting for it.

yeah 100% agree with you. This next generation is going to be great. Just have to be patient. (And with the prices these guys command, our expectations can sometimes seem unreasonable once we realize they're all only 21 years old.)

Isn't the age difference between Witt/J-Rod/Wander only 3 years at most when compared to Vlad/Tatis/Soto/Acuna? Is that really considered a generation difference?

Wander's always going to have the hype pedigree. But I can't help but think Julio has the prototypical size that can give him long term hobby sustenance. He's got Correa vitals with Arod caliber power and speed.

One of the few things M's fans have been excited about in a long time. Almost seems like forever since Lewis has been on the field.
