I have one of his cards a 2019 1st sparkle auto refractor to 299 . I was going to bring it to Chicago as I’m trying to raise finances but I decided not too. Hurts.. But to hear of anything with this type of stuff in any way as a father just hurts even more.

Totally agree. This guy had it all and threw it away like Aaron Hernandez. I don’t get these fools.

Correct. There was absolutely nothing hobby special about the guy. He was a top prospect at the right time, and a lot of people fell for him.

Nah I disagree, there was MVP potential there. He coming off an injury this year and expected to be fully healthy to start next season on a team that’s built to be WS contender. With Ohtani possibly moving to the NL, the door for AL MVP would of been wide open…

Do you guys not understand the difference between hobby good and baseball good? Here's a list of some not hobby good MVPs over the last decade.

Goldschmidt, Abreu, Bellinger, Yelich, Altuve, Stanton, Bryant, Donaldson

Wander was priced like he had Trout potential, which he does not. He can rack up all the WAR in the world with his glove and stolen bases. The hobby won't care if he's a .280 hitter with 20 HR.

I think you’re having recency bias in regards to Bellinger, Yelich, and ESPECIALLY Bryant. He was prince of the hobby 2015-2017 behind only Trout.

Those guys u just listed had their “hobby good” peak at one point then fell off. In my opinion Wander’s peak was still yet to come

Is hobby good determined by the standard of ebay sold comps? I confess I don’t understand the standard. I assumed that it was as simple as a willing buyer and willing seller.
