It is weird with all the damage since it is counterproductive to COMC's business. The fewer items they decline, the more money they make.

34% of my sales over the past 50 in my history are those exact buyers....so I don't think it's turning everyone off.

I know the answer to this isnt a one size fits all but in general, what type of volume do you need in your inventory before you start seeing consistent weekly sales?

Or if they just add the condition note and not tell you there isn’t anything you can do and you can’t ship them back to you once it’s added to the site unless you want to pay an unrealistic price to ship

Depends on your prices and inventory.

Hard to answer - this game is super inconsistent no matter what the level. You could have a million cards and depending on any number of factors you could sell zero cards a day.

If you have the right stuff and enough of it, you'd probably be able to at least guess what you'd make per week but it's probably better to think about monthly expectations.

I know users that are happy with a 1% sell through rate. It all depends on what your comport level is and how fast you want to move stuff. What type of numbers are you looking for?

It's too early for me to have any expectations, I just started 2 weeks ago. The goal right now is to just be the lowest price and be at or better than ebay. So probably too early to be setting sales goals but I was curious if there was a magic number of inventory when you see things start consistently moving. That 1% comment was actually very helpful, thanks.

How is it these appear later on after the processing team has handled the card and verified it to be Near Mint - It doesn't seem right or make sense to me.

Chances are these were overlooked or not spotted by whoever was processing at first but then a COMC member put in a report for 'Needs a condition note' for them to take a second look. Sometimes on a second look they will put in a condition note, other times it might be too minor for them to add to the listing

I've had some of these shipped back to me - surface issue can be as simple as a partial fingerprint on a chrome card from what I am experiencing. I don't totally buy that COMC members are able to spot stuff like that in a scan when it was missed by the processor. Part of the fee I pay for processing is so that the card is listed properly...it shouldn't be up to COMC users to go in and find stuff like this.

There is a lot about the process that I have issues with - for instance, they are finding these cards after I paid the .30 to process them, when in fact I would have had them returned instead of having them process the card with a condition note. These cards tend to sell for less and on lower end stuff it ends up selling for less than processing.

It also has always bothered me that these issues appear after they have handled the card a number of times.

Anybody had to go through the process of having COMC scratch a redemption that was sent via Mailbox recently? I'd sent in a few cards myself that they scratched when they loaded the cards to my account. Totally forgot that with Mailbox cards, you have to ask for them to scratch it. My card was uploaded a week ago and I could not put it up for sale without having them scratch it. I recalled that the last time I had to do so, I was told to request grading via COMC and they would scratch it. So I did that. The site said it would be back by today. So far, nothing. Have there been issues with this process? I may just be jumping the gun since it's due today.

Update on this: I was able to reach someone by phone today. He told me that, despite the website telling me the due date for this card was March 12th (one week after request), it is actually a two week process. Yes, that's right: nowhere on the site does it say the process takes two weeks, and an actual date is given before you submit the request; but the date they give you is a full week (or potentially 9 days, as he initially told me it would take two weeks from the day they processed the request, two days later) earlier than the actual date.

As I told the COMC employee, I absolutely would have requested an expedited shipment of the card rather than having them scratch it if I had not been given a due date of March 12th. This is a Panini One card that was selling for $900 on the date it was originally supposed to go live, and now the latest is down to $550. No idea what it will be going for if it's another week+ before I finally am able to sell it. He told me he would "try" to have them do it faster but didn't seem especially confident. Pretty unacceptable.

Adding to my above post: this is a process that took two days as of July, 2018 (the last time I had a redemption sent to COMC through the mailbox). I had done it a few times and the two day turnaround was never a problem. No idea why it would ever take two weeks to scratch and upload a redemption card.

I have always just sent in with the basic service level but am looking to do the current year and select along with basic for my next. Has anyone ever submitted multiple service levels in the same package? Any tips for making sure they keep the batches separate and correct?

I did that all the time. Make sure you put the right processing slip with each group - I tended to box them up separately within the package and I labeled the outside of each interior package.

Ya we both started at about the same time it looks like. I have been lucky to sell a card a day so far. I know some of my cards people would buy on ebay if I offered the same price. Just wanted to get rid of some of these since I couldn't really offer them on ebay for the same price with the shipping costs.

If your prices are competitive you will see consistent sales. Simple as that.

No problem, I always try to support honest sellers. Good luck in the future without COMC. You'll probably get less headaches
