I feel like they should be bailed out

Restaurants and stuff can still be open but movie theaters can’t make any money

Why are the Democrats holding up the bill? Market fell again because of them

Because the bill will have President Trump's name on it.

Because of the overly large corporate bailouts.

I think it’s funny everyone crapped on Rand Paul for trying to put a Amendment in, but they are silent about the Democrats holding it up

Exactly.

There are certain things that this will speed up...and the direct to stream model for major movie houses is one of them.

Even when things get back to normal, there will most certainly be a good percentage of people that will be hesitant to go to the movies for a while. Couple that with families with young kids who simply cannot, do not or rarely go to theaters...it's a no brainer.

Is something like this finally the straw that breaks the cruise ship industry? Few industries seem to get punched repeatedly and keep coming back for more...so if the bailout, includes the cruise ships (and it probably will), it should be interesting to watch in the coming years.

The Dems are holding this up for this bill to have more accountability for big business. Why are McConnell and the GOP against that?

I had never wandered into this thread before last week. I knew I should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque.

You have absolutely NO clue how movie distribution works do you? There are thousands of independently owned and operated movie theaters across the country that have been completely decimated by this. Regular mom and pop and art screens, many of which have been open for decades. This bailout money can go to directly help those folks, grunts like you and me, but no... I get insulted by anonymous freaks who do no research because I'd rather the money go to some of these people before the Marriott, Hilton and Trump corporations do.

Apparently only groups of college kids are bad for the spread of Covid19.

Direct to streaming is a terrible idea. Hate it. Movie theaters are a huge part of American culture and need to be saved

Ding ding ding

I’m not talking about the big chains, I want them to bail out the small theaters

But the other guy said he rather save movie theaters over hotels like Hilton. Guess all the small hotels will just have to go under and wait behind movie theaters because they’re more important.

We could just save all small businesses, that sounds fair

Hotels are still open though and movie theaters aren’t, so the theaters should get the money first

Fake news: Actual real news the people using the term "fake news" wish wasn't true.
Triggered: A word those same people use because they have no answer to what was just said.

And it's not like McConnell didn't take last weekend off to attend an event with Kavanaugh or anything, while the House worked their asses off to send stimulus legislation over to the Senate.
