Just curious, anyone on here have the 2014 Heritage Embossed Trout? The embossed cards are pretty ugly, but super rare. They sell for quite a bit, but I haven't seen a Trout. I would think a sale for one would be close to $1,000 if I had to guess.

I was checking around on fangraphs and noticed that Trout is likely to easily pass Griffey in career WAR next year. This really stuck out to me although it’s kind of obvious. Griffey’s numbers really dropped in the later years, but it’s still a testament to the power of Trout. Looking at those numbers also made me realize that Ted Williams had a decent shot to have a higher career WAR than Ruth and Bonds if he hadn’t missed three seasons for military service. His numbers are insane!

After I searched the 'bay a day after release and saw 8 listed, I knew they were just as common as 2016 and 2017 and 2018. Great looking card, but I'll be buying mine in a year when they get down to $20. I miss the days when SPs were actually Short Printed.

ok so maybe my $20 is conservative... but as far as supply goes, I can't say I've ever seen Topps decrease production... here's to hoping I'm right (and maybe I should finally buy my 2016 - 2018 chrome variations?)!

The 2016-2018 are pretty affordable right now.. especially the 2017 & 2018. I’d suggest to buy them now, in case Trout wins his 3rd MVP. If so, people will be hunting for his cards all offseason.

Okay got a question for the resident fishermen here. If I was looking to pick up a pack pulled Trout auto in the future is there anything I need to be on the lookout for as far as cards that are commonly faked?

You're probably right. The real truth here is beyond base cards, those are about all the things Trout-related that I can afford. Hard to fathom that his prices could get any crazier than this, but I guess that's what happens when we haven't even seen him in his prime! |

Ah. I always use BR. I see Trout is at 7.1 and Bellinger at 6.5 on Fangraphs. Yelich is the next closest at 5.9.

Yeah, not saying I favor one or the other, I just noticed he had passed him on Fangraphs a couple of weeks ago and the gap is actually pretty decent now.
