I’m still annoyed with myself that I didn’t buy the Russell one of one jumbo name patch. I could have got that for just under $10k.

I haven’t seen any other one of one jumbo name plates or gloves come up since and no jumbo flags.

I looked at the Dynasty baseball (as a guide) and there are definitely some 9.5s out there. So I’m hoping some of mine come back as 9.5s. I have no plans to sell mine so it’s not for resale, I just want to have all 9.5 graded cards.

I have a lot of 9.5s!!!

no. that was just DA's price on August 18.

Direct opportunity was from another establishment. not one of the big 3. I missed the boat on that one. I'm telling you these boxes were priced out at $200 direct from Topps to distributors and they went up from there.

So if Topps sold direct to the public it would stop or reduce the stupid $1.6k per box prices. All the supply gets sucked up, the price can only go higher.

If topps sold direct to the public it would get eaten up by bots just like every other card launch lately. And then resellers would be the ones making the $1400 profit per box.

They already do and it does next to nothing. Topps chrome just launched and it was 1 per customer but their site crashed anyways. Not to mention there are only ~3600 total cards in this product so there is no way any limits would make an impact.

They can’t. (ie the answer you were given is correct.)
Have a look at the other threads about Topps direct sales. (For example the AP cards /51 that come out each day for Project 70.)
