Very true. Pricing gap has certainly narrowed over time (may have even been a time where they were at parity)

Got plenty for sale, but everyone wants a steal or pristine cards for less than ebay raw pricing. Can't blame them though. I like deals too.

Prizm raw are hitting $300+ consistently. Had to list mine. Will come to regret it if he actually goes out and beats Mahomes.

I'll be listing a Prizm PSA10 shortly. I figured when I can sell a card and pay for a Nashville vacation for the wife and I it's always a win. Plus spending it on a fun vacation like that helps in the future because I won't really regret selling it as much if it keeps rising in price

There are very few Watsons I would sell right now personally. I sold a few PSA 10 Prizms and a few Stained Glass inserts. I think the upside outweighs his prices on most of the others currently. I would never sell any of my raw cards because those are still priced way too low.

Not a fan of the new managed payments. Sold a Lebron for 2.5k today and was gonna throw some of that at Watson/Patty but of course now I don't get the money immediately...

They should be but he needs to take the next leap before those become desirable. To be honest, a stellar performance week 1 against prince Mahomes could be all he needs to jump-start his season and be off.

I am so excited for this season, I think more so for the sports card market. This is going to be a wild ride.

Then it's the perfect time to buy if you believe he'll reach that next level. 2018 silver Prizm will be good to have if you can get one at a decent price. I just checked prices on his 2018 Optic Downtown insert and they sell very well. I picked up a raw one for around $5 iirc last year. Looks like he has a Downtown insert in Donruss football as well and judging from ebay listings, there are far fewer of those and they are a good bit cheaper. Also less busy than the Optic ones.

Is there something specific that makes the gem rate so low on Lamar’s 2018 Prizm? I’ve seen surface issues alluded to, but 9’s are like 6:1 over 10’s in population so I assume that is partially what is driving the price on the 10?

But to your question, there is a common print defect on the 18 Lamar Prizms, a horizontal line marking near the upper left hand side on the front surface (from what I can remember). It's a bit analogous to the dimple on the 17 Mahomes Prizms & helps keep the GEM rate low & prices high...asides from PSA's blatant market manipulation & population control.

How do you tell the difference in the various select silvers, like field level vs concourse ? is there any marking on the card that says field level? i haven’t seen it in ebay listings i’ve looked at.

Concourse, Premier, and Field Level cards use different images. They are also marked, as such. Field Levels are the most rare, and coveted, of the 3.

Be careful with the 2017 Select "Prizm"/Silver... Every card is marked as a "Prizm" or Silver, but the vast majority are the Base cards. Make sure they actually have the Silver/Refractor appearance... Kinda tricky for the uninitiated, as I know from my own experience

I would take a select field level prizm over the prizm silver all day. Same for actually all 2017+ QB's. The field level select prizm is so rare and looks so nice, maybe the XRC is the only thing that should contest it.

I hear you! Can't wait till next week for the game. Obviously, KC held off Watson last year in the playoffs, but he did lead the Texans to the win in Arrowhead during the regular season. Scoring 31 points on the road in the divisional playoffs should normally get you the win...

If Watson leads the team to a win (which I hope doesn't happen for obvious reasons) or he has a stellar game, demand for his cards should jump. I think investors are reticent to go all in until they see the offense sans-Hopkins...
