Panini never officially released print run for retail red and blue prizms. They did mentioned the print run of bronze stars (non-auto) as 6 copies.

Red Prizm: BGS pop 8, PSA pop 9: Total 17. This is likely overestimated by 20-30% due to crossovers plus crack &re-submissions. If you factor in that, actual pop should be ~14. Add in approximately 30% for raw/ungraded and still in packs. Total comes to approximately 20. So my guess on estimated print run is 18-20

Blue Prizm. BGS pop 4, PSA pop 3. Total 7. Using the same logic as above, estimated print run is 8-10

This is just a guesstimate.

This is likely a very naive question, but why are the Patty Mahomes cards so much more expensive on COMC than equivalent cards on Ebay (or any other site for that matter...)? Don't get me wrong, it is great to think my collection is worth >2x what I paid for it, but I can't imagine this inventory is moving very quickly for the educated buyer. I am probably missing something though...

I have only been on COMC a few times and the prices I see on there are worse than the prices at the card shows...

Some people run sales. 20, 30, 40 or even 50 percent off.

Or they are just saying waiting for prices to rise even more. I had some cards on there priced high and eventually they went up to that level.

True, also some people have no clue what they are doing and set their prices by throwing darts at a board. If one guy sets his $25 card for sale at $50, there is a chance the next guy that puts one on COMC won't even research it and lists his for $49.99.

A lot of cards in COMC are also priced with their Best Offer valued in, so if they want X amount for it they will price it with that plus the % of what they except for best offer. But don’t get me wrong some people just have crazy high prices as well!

If you are thinking of bidding on the Black Press Proof, be aware the seller is up to something shady. I've confronted him and he says he's going to change pics, but last week he sent me this pic of the back and told me it was NM/M with obvious damage showing at the bottom, his listing on eBay says Mint and has a different back photo. As I'm writing this he'd edited both the title and the picture, it's now back to the original photo he sent last week. Buyer beware.

Sounds about right. Only has 7 feedback and one of them said noticeable dent on front of card that wasn't disclosed.

Not enough Mahomes supply on COMC. People still try hard to avoid cash out fees by getting in-demand cards that they can easily liquify for cash in fee/tax free sales on Facebook/IG/Shows. Anything Mahomes priced reasonably will get snatched up. Try negotiating or pay up.

It's been mentioned before but here's another 2017 Select Field Level Silver Prizm SP Mahomes rookie I just got the other day...sooooo sharp. Def better than the other silver prizms out there in my opinion. The Select version has such a better picture.

In my opinion, the select silver field level is much better looking card than the prizm. It will be interesting to see if the prices on the select catch up with the prizm one day.

I agree I just picked one up as well. Its definitely rarer too and prices are cheaper. Gotta be careful though because in 2017 Select, all base and silvers were labelled "Prizm" on the back in error.

Price-wise Prizm> Select and Optic no matter what. Do not fight the tape. I like the 2017 Donruss Elite RC#155 image better than anything else. We all have different personal opinions and thus are biased towards a particular variant but the market and the price speaks the truth. I bought the Donruss elite #155 because I like it and not with the expectation that the prices will catch with the Prizm prices because they will never will. Prizm #269 will always outsell other non-auto RC variants. Optic and Select prices will go up along with Mahomes other RC's but Prizm #269 will be the king of non-auto RC's.

Normally I would agree but these are unique circumstances. Beyond just eye appeal, the fact that there was no silver prizm that year makes the pop reports extremely lopsided. It will not take much demand at all for the silver field level to take off. They are way more limited than the prizm. In fact I think ungraded/psa 9s are already pretty close to each other. I can't imagine the base prizm staying ahead of the silver field level for much longer.

I hear ya, and like I said, typically I would agree but the 2017 prizm is unique. It is essentially a base card. There are numerous examples of parallels from inferior products selling for more than base cards. NT and Contenders are not an apples to apples comparison in my opinion because they are not base cards. Further the field level card just has that it factor imo. I don’t think the non field level version from 2017 select will do nearly as well. My 2017 tri-colored select non field level is a nice numbered card but I would trade it for a silver field level in a heart beat.

All 2017 prizm rookies are silvers, there are no base. All labelled as well.

Yes, so the question is will select silver outsell the Prizm #269 base (which are also silvers) in the long run because of the low print run? Time for a vote...My vote is no I will go with Prizm #269 PSA 10 any day if I am flipper or investor.
