I actually have an idea to diffuse tensions a bit and find common ground. We really do need to somehow find a way to de-escalate within the US, myself included for sure.

So since most people have a variety of opinions, how about we try mentioning what pieces of your OWN party's platform and brand you don't agree with? Or ones on the opposite side that you do agree with. Thats tamer than going at each other.

I'll go. As a Ex Republican (Bush 2x) but current Democrat, I dont agree with the green new deal (insane fiscally) gun control (I own one, l&l as needed for protection), over-wokeness (just bad for society), or any march towards actual socialism (the squad). And not a fan of CNN. And Republicans, I like them fiscally (more responsible, generally...), I like their gun control stance (tho not really the militia, automatic rifle thing). Thats probably it right now.

This chezball is a guy who liked to bring up, for years after the fact, that I wasn't allowed to post in the 2016 Political Thread, for something (remarkably minor) that didn't even happen in that thread. He liked pointing it out over and over in this thread, too, and would say that it was matter of time before it happened to me again in the 2020 thread. Well, it didn't happen to me again, because I'd learned my lesson.

It did happen to him, though. But despite being banished from this thread for months, he's now returned having learned nothing. The pure garbage he posts, including that which you highlighted, is even worse than before he got the boot.

The suggestion for him to choose to go was a courtesy, really.
He's well on the road to oblivion, as it is.
Why should the mods be put in the position to have to bounce him again?
Can he do right for once in his life?
I wouldn't bet on it, but here's his chance.
