That's not how things work, haha. SCOTUS usually only takes a case if lower courts have disagreed, which hasn't happened here. They don't review legal questions because Americans think they should. They review things if lower courts can't agree.

They may decide to hear the nonsense that's already been ruled upon by lower courts just as a courtesy to the executive branch. If they do, they'll rule unanimously, just as the lower courts have, simply because there is no legal argument that holds even the tiniest amount of water.

Wrong. They review over questions of law. Such as procedures or standards of proof.

They don't re-try the case, they review it for procedural deficiencies.

By the time a litigant petitions for cert, procedures have been reviewed by lower appellate courts, circuit courts of appeals, etc. It is only when these courts disagree that cert is considered.
