I will Probably do the same thing...The amount of cards that I sold this year and the amount of people that complained didn't receive it is horrible.....I have listed every card from May when I started till now and I just don't believe the buyers that I see twice a year.I didn't receive the card or don't know the system....I have a great Bunch of customers that I can call friends and are so happy to give them what they want...

Talked it over with the wife, and honestly can't see a way to make money on these at all so won't be a player at all next year. Can't even break even if you take into account the time and effort...and couple that with the jokers wanting to rip you off for $5 it's not worth the strain and heartache.

I mean you probably did buy "too much" this year, but choosing just the right cards can bring you profit I think.

I'm a big believer still...just don't think you can actually "make it" selling these and continuing to buy. Perhaps if I didn't have a full time job I could keep up with it, but as it stands all my spare time has been taken up with theses to keep the money rolling in...if you can't do that and I found I can't it costs a fortune to bankroll the set and keep going. Buying, listing selling, packing and shipping, rechecking 500 listings each day...all to just keep 5 cards is difficult and I guess it all has me burnt out.

How many times is having the first year the best way to go? IMO, quite often it's the way to go. I also have a hunch that there will be a retro-active buying spree of these cards after the WS when people go back to get "their" team's cards. I know I would be doing that and I'm not a huge baseball fan.

True, that's actually how I am.
I just thought you were (are/will be) a lot more into it than I am.
I have some cards bought with 20 card bundle, which I have to sell for really low prices (if deciding to get rid of them fast), and yes the time to list/package and all is just too much.
So, for next year, I am going to be more picky on which cards to buy.
For example, teams I cheer for, player I like, or for the games I went to watch etc...

Anyways, your collection of BGS high graders are one of a kind!

I'm surprised you made it this long. I hope that you continue to enlighten us (no sarcasm here) with your takes on possible PRs. I didn't buy any except a few singles here and there and liked your takes.
