Wow thanks for the breakdown. Yeah knew it was mentioned before but didn’t want to dig through 300 pages in this thread. Was looking at making a run at a PSA 10 but at that print run and price a diff Acuna may be a better play. Really love the look of the card though so who knows.

You also have to consider that an SSP in Update is pretty much 1 per case and there is a limited number of SSP's. The Acuna White Jersey SSP is arguable an easier hit than any of the others listed above just because the short SSP list. Which could account for why there have been so many more for sale. This would also lend one to believe that the SSP has a higher print run than all of the other parallels listed above.

I bought the cheapest Acuna Topps Update Black that was sold on ebay. Paid $199 shipped BIN.

There is definitely a higher print run when compared to the Update parallels. I think the draw and value of card come from the eye appeal. It’s just a great looking card.

I’d say, aside from the 17 BC autos(and possibly non autos as well), the two biggest gains verses buy in point so far would be those who kept buying Acuna during his initial struggle after call up and were able to get 698 bat down at $20 or less delivered and the ones that went after Saphire base at release. Seems to me those have seen the best investments so far.

Forgot about those. I did pick up bat down sp's for $25 and for $30. I had planned on buying 5 of them but got sidetracked and stopped at two.

Still haven't sent anything in to grade. It will be a 9 though, it has white on the top right corner. Plan on sending it to BGS for a 9.5

My best purchase was just after Topps Chrome was released last year.

$50 got me (4) Base TC RCs, (5) Living Set RCs and the kicker, a Green RC Refractor (/99).

I sent all to PSA and they all came back 10s. Sold the Green for $125, the TCs for $25-30 and the Living Sets for $25-35 and have 1 remaining.

In the B/S/T section, I bought a lot of 5 RCs for $200. They were a XFractor from TC, a Rookie Debut Vintage Stock (/99), Red and Blue Shirt SP from Update, Refractor from Heritage and an Action from Heritage.

Sold the Xfractor for $20, sold the Vintage for $30, the other 3 all went to PSA and received 10s.

Sold the SP for $90, the Refractor for $200 and the Action for $220.

Yeah I did the same basically. They did drop below $20 at the lowest. I bought 1 for $20 delivered and 1 for $18 delivered. Still kicking myself for only buying the two. Turned one of them into a PSA 10 though!

Ya, I just keep kicking myself because after I missed out on the BC Auto, when they first came out, I've continually missed on everything else because I didn't think all these other cards would blow up the way they have. I'm gonna have to start widening the net for the next big player.

What kills me is that I'm a HUGE Braves fan, knew about Acuna before he blew up, and still whiffed. Honestly, I just wasn't in a good place financially to take advantage of the BC autos, but I have no excuse for the SSP, the Heritages, and other such cards.

Not crazy returns but grabbed one black/67 for $225 and three Indys/76 for $250 each. All came back as BGS 9.5 (Gem Mint). Sold two Indy's for $800 each
