Topps is probably hoping Texas comes back and it doesn't have to make any more Blue Jays cards. Clearly the cost to ship to Canada thing is weighing on sales.

Donaldson sales also came in sub-200 with 198. That's now 17 Blue Jays cards with print runs lower than 200. Will today's Blue Jays card break that streak with flippers assuming it will be low printed and goosing the sales as a result? Or is there not much flip opportunity given so many cards now have lower than 200 sales?

Things Topps Need to figure out to make 2016 Topps Playoffs and World Series a strong Topps Now showing. In addition, they need to make sure they end STRONG so next year starts strong.

1) Find a way to reasonably ship to Canada. You might as well suck it up and do it, b/c the blue jays aren't going anywhere but up in the playoffs. Plus this might increase your topps now audience enough to add in more buyers.

2) Find a way to get Dodger relics. If it means paying more, you really need to do it.

3) Find a way to get KEY AUTOs. You really need more auto offerings. And if you have to pay up for it, you really should. Obviously pass some of the cost to us, but in the end, you need the Autos to continue the excitement and end strong.

MUST Auto in the Playoffs (Obviously if they do something to earn it):
* Kris Bryant
* 1 of the cubs pitchers
* Trea Turner
* Bryce Harper
* Corey Seager
* 1 of the LA Dodgers pitcher
* Madison Bumgarner
* Tyler Naquin
* Andrew Benintendo / Yoan Moncada
* Mookie / Ortiz / Pedroia
* Texas Rangers - nevermind

4) TRY TRY TRY something else. Just once.

* Dual Autos
* Golden gloves
* Silver slugger
* Bat / Glove / Something else relic for playoffs / world series
* some have even mentioned a 60 sec base relic WITH audio might be cool

* baseball signed by winners of ALCS / NLCS of pitching staff ( /10 )
* baseball signed by ALCS / NLCS best rookies ( /10 )

5) Printing Plates at the beginning of next season (2017) so people know they can never be reprinted again.

6) Offseason trade cards

7) Offseason FA cards

8) if the winning team goes to disney world ( 1 card or something)

I doubt they will do Relics or Autos for non clinching games. If he hit that HR and that game clinched the series... you would get a Relic... Auto... or Auto/Relic. But not for a Game 1 or 2

Yea sales will goose the PR's up today. They never learn and its Saturday.

I don't think Topps has much control over this. If Toronto wins it all, the sales won't be strong. If the Cubs or Bosox make it to the end then sales will be Huge. Actually all of the NL teams would have strong showings, but the Cubs would have sales off the charts. Topps will be printing money on Cubs WS cards.
