I ended up buying ALCS home game 1. My rationale is that I attended the division series last year and decided that money is better spent on the next round this year (assuming the O’s get there). It errored out when I tried to add the parking permit… which was annoying.

Jim Palmer just now … “They aren’t booing Craig Kimbrel… they are booing Craig Kimbrel’s performance.” Lol

This is so bad. The Orioles are Orioleing. Pitching has held (Except for tonight) and the bats have been in a slump for a month and a half. How does that even happen???

The silver lining is after such a long slump it is entirely plausible the Orioles bats get hot just at the right time and carry us through the playoffs. One can hope! |

Any chance we get a Stavros Halkias first pitch autograph card in tomorrow’s Topps Now assortment?

(common in HS baseball/small leagues)Kimbrel should have moved into using Cutters and Sinkers, if you can't get Ks just push batters into easy outs in another way. Again, I've been around too many NL pitchers so my mindset is different |

The games have definitely not been nearly as fun to watch this year. Last year the team had such great chemistry and you felt like you were watching kids having fun playing ball.
Anyone else think they should have turned off the Splash Zone after the 2023 season? Kind of weird watching people splashed the other day when the team got blown out 10-0. In upcoming years as the roster changes are players going to be forced to do the sprinkler stuff after doubles and home runs? Even the Nats retired baby shark the year after wining the World Series. Nice power surge last night! Maybe the bats will get hot at the right time and help us make a nice run through the playoffs.

Didn’t realize how slow Torkeleon was, most would’ve been safe at first on that slow hit double play.

Nice to see both Urias (3B) and Westburg (2B) back in the lineup today… THIS is our playoff infield!

A bit of an anticlimactic clinching of the post season but I will take it.
Now hopefully the Orioles can turn things up a notch in the playoffs! |

I kind of felt like we weren’t expecting Grayson to come back final week of season and be 100% in the playoffs anyway. So this potentially avoids the awkward situation of him coming back and getting lit up early in a must win playoff game. Starting pitching injuries definitely took a toll on the team this year for sure. We will need to see how far Burnes, Eflin, Suarez, and Kremer can take us.
EDIT: and also the bats need to come up big. Which looks like it could actually happen! |

It’s weird what a difference a week and some solid games against the Yankees in NY does to restore a little of my early season optimism for this team. Now I think I have a solid chance of actually attending Championship home game 1. When I bought them last week I felt like there was a 99.9% chance I was going to be refunded my ticket purchase.
