On another note, why are they still building the inauguration stage outside the capitol? That thing is a massive structure. Just swear Biden in at the White House, we don't need big crowds in DC during a pandemic.

I think a smaller stimulus bill will make it through now. Hard to say if the democrats dig in their heels and continue to hold it up until Joe gets sworn in. He only has a few months in office, so they may want to try and give this one to him.
Yep. The Dems derailed a potential deal in October, but the tides have changed post-election.

They agreed on plenty of stimulus. It was just not good enough for the liberals. They wanted massive bailouts for debt in states that have been poorly run. The big deal is off the table now. I expect some level of unemployment benefits to be extended and a direct payment to be the major focus of any potential new bill brought forward. We'll see if the left wants to help people out or not very soon.

Agreed, I really hope this inauguration doesn't go overboard. We have already had way too many instances of huge crowds since this pandemic hit. Don't need another one that is preventable.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but...hold strong, Senate!

I'm not really sure how much people are hurting financially right now. I mean, obviously some people are, but how many? It's hard to see from my little point of view in this great big country. I'd rather not see a bunch of money handed out to people that don't need it. I'd hope they can find a way to target any stimulus better than last time and get it into the hands of people actually affected (financially) by the virus. Wishful thinking, I know.

We don't need more stimulus when people are spending $9 billion on Friday and another $10-11 billion today on deals.

Interesting statement. It says "yeah I think women are mostly worthless except for one thing, but I'm not going to come out and say it right now."

Care to clarify whether the implication was in line with your actual thoughts?

Nevermind. Go ahead and let us all wonder. That was your intent after all, wasn't it?

For Biden being a "socialist" he isn't doing a very god job with his picks.

I said I give credit where it’s due. Sometimes there is more than one thing to give credit for. For instance, my wife is very good at cleaning. She also has an uncanny ability to place overpriced trinkets around the house aka “decorating.” I consider her to be quite the catch for her array of skills.

Post election, your posts have been much less "inquisitive intellectual" and much more "enjoyable to read".

Keep up the good work!

Yeah its pretty much the end of the world. The Deep State can go back to performing satanic rituals involving child sex slaves in pizza shops all over the country, Hugo Chavez and Bin Laden can come back out of hiding and get back to taking over the world, our overlords in Venezuela and China don't have to worry about insolence from our country anymore and can go ahead with human sacrifices and purification strategies again....

I'd suggest hiding in a bunker for about thirty years or so. See you in 2050!

You make her seem like a regular June Cleaver. I suppose that's awesome if that's what you're into. Congrats!

I hope the 1950s treat you well.

So if you are calling her June Cleaver. Who do you consider yourself? Which supermodel are you?

If you traveled during Thanksgiving, just assume you have COVID, you terrible human.

If you shopped on Black Friday, we'll turn a blind eye to you.

People really still listen to "experts"? I'm just glad I don't have green poop anymore, the COVID poop.

Way to stereotype and generalize Rachel.

How forward thinking of you.

“What, your wife is good at cleaning and loves to decorate - and you appreciate her for who she is? How archaic!!!”

I think it’s awesome how you don’t care at all about being a raging hypocrite. It’s so brave.

On another note, my husband tested positive for Covid a few weeks back and later both he and I tested negative. His original test had been a false positive.

Over this past weekend, we both started feeling ill. He developed a fever that went as high as 103 last night and I now have chest congestion and nausea, though no fever. Ugh.

Tests scheduled for this afternoon at Marlins Park. Hopefully whatever is wrong with us isn't severe. I'm not convinced it's Covid, but we'll see I guess.

I had the same exact thought Rachel.

Sometimes it’s best if you just keep those silly thoughts inside rather than blurting them out.

Read somewhere that with mutations of covid we are looking at 4 years of masks. Can't find it now though.
