Not a fan of the $26, $27, and $28 mil he is making in upcoming seasons

Nick Young.
Shaun Livingston.
Even Iggy - although that made more sense because of the cap.

I have zero problems with SA not matching for Kyle. Solid player but we can find 2nd rounders as good as him.

None of those are "bad" deals....Livingston & Iggy are key contributors.....Swaggy was one a 1-year MLE deal.

BAD = team trying to dump the contract 12-18 months after agreeing to it.

Just wondering, but how are any of those 3 players on bad contracts??

I'm actually pretty bummed that "we" didn't match. Anderson was a solid piece for SA and he's only getting better. Will be interesting to watch him presumably take on an even bigger role in Memphis.

But yeah, haven't been thrilled with any SA news since the chip in 2014, besides the Aldridge signing. Duncan retiring, Simmons walking, Kawhi injury/drama/trade, Parker, Anderson, Manu nearing the end... I'm excited about the future, but this team isn't going to be recognizable by opening night in October. Weird times if you've followed the team since the beginning of the Duncan era. We're not really used to inconsistency.Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż

If you define "bad" as teams trying to dump the contract a year after, there are not many of those around. There are guys like Allen Crabbe or Jeff Teague who are overpaid but teams are not looking to dump their contracts.

I define bad as where the price tag is too big for the production. That happened with Swaggy last season. Same with Livingston. Iggy's case is special because they couldn't do much because of their cap situation and it was only a slight overpay; feel free to take that one off.

Also, who says they don't try to move Livingston in the next few months?

I don't get the Anderson deal either. He's been getting better, he's entering his prime and unless he falls off a cliff, he's gonna be worth that contract and more. Even if you are rebuilding, he would be making less than 10% of the cap while being a key rotation player. Why not resigning him?

Why not resign him?
Because they can move someone far cheaper in to that role.
D. White and Lonnie are probably 2 guys they want to get in to that role.

I liked Anderson but he's really not necessary.

If Kawhi was to come back Anderson's role would decrease. If we trade Kawhi for Ingram, Anderson's role would decrease.

I haven't seen too many false moves from SA over the years. I'll trust them.

Kyle turned into a nice facilitator and defender but I'm not sold that he fit long term. I was more upset when Simmons left. Plus given the situation the Spurs are in, I think losing Kyle is the least of the Spurs worries. Cool that folks saw his value though. Spurs did well with that 30th pick and I'm glad he got his payday. But trust.....there are some stallions in the stables

Bertans re-signs for 4-20mil

I actually think he will take a big leap next year.

Do you realize Iggy's MVP was before the contract and your 7th or 8th best player is not really a huge piece?

Does it really matter what they are being paid at this point? They just won 3 out of 4 championships and could of had 4 straight. Maybe they know what they are doing?

Let's say it again.....we are living in the Twilight Zone! Tony Parker plays for the Hornets, Lebron is a Laker....and Zach Lavine just GOT PAID. Insanity......dude is basically Desmond Mason.....only Mason could play a whole season.

Rockets lose Mbah a Moute.....another step backwards.

If they do a sign & trade for Melo, that'll be another bad move.....they need defense, not offense.

Think he’s getting stretched and then signing a minimum deal.

Why are you thinking S&T?
