Update!! They popped!

Order Type: 45 Day Bulk
# of cards: 50 Cards
Order received per USPS: February 16th
Order received per PSA: March 24th
Order popped: April 2nd

(6 business days from when PSA logged them in, 30 business days from when USPS delivered them to PSA)

I can definitely deal with this! Maybe they have turned the tide!

I'm totally flying off the radar here, but let's remember that PSA is a publicly traded company. I noticed most of the bulk orders popped before the end of March. Remember that PSA does not charge your credit card until the order has processed. Could it be that they try to run a bunch of larger orders through before the end of the quarter to help ensure their revenue meets market expectations? The larger bulk orders are likely more valuable (in terms of total dollars).

More Revenue = (likely) More Profits

More Profits = Higher EPS

Higher EPS = Happy Investors

All of their orders were already in house, so I am in no way insinuating they are not playing fair in terms of accounting or their financials. But if they are doing this, I see the frustration for those missing deadlines on shorter orders.

Again, this is all speculative because for all I know they could already account for their in house orders as "accounts receivable". I've never taken time to look into their financials.

IDK for sure but it's probably related to what's in the orders and the availability of more senior graders who are allowed to grade cards over a certain dollar amount.

I know that when I've included vintage HOFers in a bulk order, the wait has often been very long even prior to six months ago.

Would guess that most every grader on their staff is allowed to handle an exclusively modern bulk order where everything is valued under $99.

Weirdest thing, CS rep told me they were going to be working on "New York" orders next week.

Never heard that one before. Another item to log for the conspiricists!

There was a show in Shakopee in which the rep said that in person drop off at shows are generally logged into the system faster than normal. I gave them 2 orders — one of which is logged (about 6 business days) and the other one is not logged yet.

I forget when PSA changed their bulk from 45 to 65 days but think it was in March...so your order was probably the last batch of orders that got in under the 45 day minimum...lucky you

that's my guess. I have more high end i.e. (closer value to $100) in my one outstanding bulk order from Jan 23 PSA received date. I hope that one pops soon.

I talked with PSA today and they said they are currently working on Feb 24th Bulk Orders. I called to ask about my 10 day that was changed to 30 days. I was told that my order is in fact a 10 day in the system since it was submitted before the change. So for anybody else in the same boat, as long as it was sent in before the change and your print out order shows it than you should be good with the original days.

They logged my 176 card bulk 45-day order that they received on February 20th today. PSA reps don't know anything they are talking about on the phone. Believe me.

So I just called. As bwalter1 mentioned, they are "unpacking" orders from 02/24 currently. The rep was able to verify (without me telling her anything) that I have an order of 263 cards that was unpacked last week and should be loaded in the system with-in the next couple of days. She said they are allowing over-time and working on weekends to keep up with the demands.

Trying to be reasonable here. I feel like they are working hard to keep up with the demands. I just wish they would have posted something on the web-site to give those submitting a heads up. Several things I would have held out.

They have it posted when you are creating your submission and also their CEO sent out a note.

PSA is experiencing a high volume of submissions, and as a result, submission receiving times have been impacted.

For current turnaround times, see updated times below or contact PSA Customer Service at 1-800-325-1121 or info@PSAcard.com.

Please mark your turnaround time on the outside of your shipment box. Misidentifying your turnaround time will result in delays to your order.

To check if PSA has received your submission, visit PSAcard.com/myaccount and click on Package Tracker.

Click here to read a message from our CEO regarding PSA turnaround times.

Just took a peek at the pricing structures on PSA's website. Does anyone else find this language rather peculiar/odd for their "Regular" $20/card service (it's for their 10 day service(?) but it will take 30 business days/6 weeks to get back to you - doesn't seem like a 10 day service to me?):

ESTIMATED TURNAROUND: 30 Business Days
Please mark outside of shipment box with "10 Day Service"

my guess is that they are building their current wait time for processing order receipt into the estimated turnaround.

That what the rep said when I called. The 10 days are at about 30 days total from log time and grade time. Mine were received March 30th so I can expect them back in 30 total. What were received 3/15 were logged the 31st and 4/3 so they should be done close to that 30 day.

I finally had a 10 day (one card) order show up for processing that was received by them on 2/21/18 after sending two nasty emails last week, on 4/3.
