So the hope right now is in 2-3 weeks we hit our peak. In theory the lockdowns will have worked with less people commingling and able to spread the virus.

We had 400 deaths today. We had 7 two weeks ago. It’s sad to think we haven’t peaked yet and my hope is the data is incorrect or that the drug treatments catch on and help reverse this path, because we can’t continue at the rate we’re going. I suspect peak will be around 1800-2000 deaths a day if these numbers and trends from around the globe hold true. Our numbers obviously will dwarf other countries because we have more people, but that doesn’t necessarily mean our situation is worse.

I guess we’ll know more as more data rolls in.

Well the more people dying = more people in ICU = hospitals being flooded.

We have about 7,500 people die a day in this country. We can’t just add 30% to that number and think we have the capacity to handle it.
