If you've followed my posts long enough, you know that I'm pro-mask but anti-lockdown. I'm open to honest debate on both, since I recognize a lack of expertise in myself. I have opinions, but if this were a court of law I would hardly be recognized as an expert or allowed to testify. How many here would?

If you want to trust your own judgement, so be it. But I will not trust yours (or anybody's) over the majority of professionals. And ignoring their guidance in public is forcing others to trust you. No thanks.

We don't know how important these restrictions are, but we can guesstimate that they are of some import. Our inability to quantify it is not evidence of its non-existence.

And sure, a few politicians don't practice what they preach. When has that ever not been the case? Dismissing the entire exercise because of a few hypocritical knuckleheads seems a bit like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Nobody likes restrictions. Nobody wants them. But it's not always about "like" or "want". It's time for America to put its big boy pants on, roll up our sleeves, and live up to the citizenship that was earned by our predecessors.

No, we cannot. 15 days to slow the spread. A clear goal, a clear sacrifice, a clear reason why. This made sense; don't overwhelm the hospitals. The sacrifice was clear. The goal was clear. The results were clear.

I'm not guesstimating anything. I'm supporting the medical community as they do it.

It's possible to have more than one goal. The situation is fluid. We slowed the spread (sort of), but does that mean we are done and everything is cool now? Who ever suggested that?

Sure. We as a whole can guesstimate. America has that capability. Me personally? I could, sure, but it wouldn't be any more accurate than Baker Mayfield was last year. Perhaps more importantly, I truly believed that crap was beneath you.

There has always been the goal of saving as many lives as possible. I'm not going to bother with looking up the dates of those statements. I'm sure you'll find them if you need them.

I will be honest I don't know who to trust at this point. I am more inclined to believe hospital staff more than any politician or "expert".

I used to think "what did these oldheads who lived 250 years ago know about modern times?" Then realized that take was way off and that they actually knew everything they needed to. And I thought that up until maybe a year ago.

The only other person I can think of may be Lance Armstrong. I know it is so odd that 20 years ago Rudy was America's mayor. He was very popular even before 9/11 happened. And now he is just the talking head for Trump's baseless voter fraud claims. At this point I am convinced Rudy is just making stuff up as he goes along in order to continue to bill Trump $20,000 a day. He knows this is going nowhere and that he won't have to do any real work on this when it is all said and done. Just file a bunch of lawsuits that get thrown out of court and then slink away and pocket tons of cash (assuming Trump pays him). Hopefully Rudy is at least smart enough to get paid up front.
