I’m shocked they did Instore pickup. Definitely testing it out. And yes to volume on megas. Bot checkout logs are insane for blasters/megas today. Patiently waiting the bot twitter links to be posted lol

Can't believe I read that Topps Chrome was available 5 pages back and when I went to check they were still in stock. Shocked.

Where’s the OP vendor from the other thread. I’d be curious what their thoughts are on this since this since target generally doesn’t have accurate inventory numbers on vendor products. Someone tasked to sit in the back and count packs and input into transfers system? lol maybe that’s why the delay in cellos

seems like a waste of time for them tbh…

That was my thought on the possibility as well. I imagine it can be done digitally/wirelessly so it syncs with their website quick enough but still having to do that once a week for drop day. Feels like a lot of work for us card plebs. Maybe they have organized something a bit more official with Excell for inventory/shipment numbers now to make it more streamlined...

I disagree, I believe topps prints way more baseball than panini does basketball or football which is part of it. What it tells me though is that most flippers are only here for the instant flip, any complaints about topps chrome or bowman are basically flippers who don’t understand baseball products because there really shouldn’t be complaints about topps chrome and bowman at MSRP with a long enough horizon. But why learn when you can smash a button and double up like on basketball. Don’t even need to open the box from target, just slap a new label on top and ship it right off

It's probably more of a ship to store thing. The vendor sends the product to the store through ups and then the store unboxes it and stores it for pick up as if it was an instore item. Other option is that they changed the philosophy on it completely and are stocking it based on individual skus, meaning the items are being checked in upon arrival which means that they are being inventoried and in stocks can be kept on top of more easily. Inventory status in that case is updated hour to hour.

Seems like things are cooling down a bit with wax. (Also probably discussed but this is the first year I have ever seen a blaster of topps chrome retail for $29.99). So distributors wanted more $. $30 for this terrible RC class is a lot.
