Whatever happened to it, that table deserves its own 30 for 30.

I have often pondered how much that table had to do with the Memorial Day run up. . As we prepare for Christmas, it currently has two new leafs in it, and is void of cards.

That stack created a new warehouse of sorts with brand new shelving from floor to ceiling. Hopefully the foundation and footings are solid.

Maybe one day I will reunite those cards with that table.

Ermsy companions are all sold out again.

His stuff is simply fantastic. If Topps is able to keep him onboard...oh my!

If you go back through the thread, I think Naturel has been talked about much differently after his Brett card. It helps that the P2020 survivors are more Pennywise and less Green Day.

Saladeen Griffey should have more legs on paper (Griffey P2020 rookie, more striking design that doesn't require a degree in Naturelology to appreciate, more famous artist, top 2 Saladeen card), but that Naturel card has a much lower PR and is more beloved by P2020 collectors. So, I think the difference between the two will stay the same or even increase as people get rid of their stray Saladeens after the end of the set.

Pretty obvious they did given the date for last day of drops for the set.

I like Saladeen Griffey more, by a lot, but I’m not collecting Saladeen’s run. I’m not sure how representative this thread is of the market, but there were more than a handful of people who were late on Naturel, and wanted to backfill his set. Add in the PR, and the fact that Grtoesk’s Griffey got close to Saladeen’s for PR, and I think it makes sense. I imagine the gap will close a bit eventually. But I don’t know anything about cards. Frankly you all seem a little nuts to me, so who knows how the marketplace behaves.

You almost got me. Forty-two year old white guy from the burbs, but I was never coordinated enough to skate. I grew up ice skating, though. Hockey. That almost counts, right?

FWIW I think this is spot on...I think the Naturel was slept on (as evident by the PR) while the Saladeen has been considered an iconic card from the set for months now. Even compared to another early card with a very similar PR, the jk5 Ted Williams, the Naturel Jackie is doing extremely well. I think it speaks to how late people got on the Naturel train (myself included). And I think it speaks to how well a lot of the early cards could do if this set gains any traction over time.

Ready for the last Friday drop. It's been a helluva ride. Looking forward to what the thread holds once we pass the finish line.

Thanks for the input. My thing about card-collectors was my tongue-in-cheek way of asking for more educated inputs from within the hobby.

Dumb question incoming: Is there any value outside of the 1st card in a set? Like is first 3 more valuable than the first 5, which are both more valuable than the first 10?

EDIT: My assumption is for this it's about first card from each artist and first card for each player more than the # outside of #1.

I am all about an awkward zoom call to celebrate the end of the project.

i've been anticipating posting the Ferris Bueller "go home" gif for weeks now. So close.

Yes, the zoom call would be $$$$.

Also, why am I trying to talk myself into chasing the Clemente Vides' foil. Don't do it, noooooooo!

The first cards should obey the laws of rookie card physics. It helps that the first cards are usually really good.

Unfortunately, that means that everything else sorta gets lost in the miasma (aka the laws of print-on-demand physics).

You guys just all want to see what I look like, but I’d be down for a Zoom gathering.

Actually think this is a fun idea...

When the project is over and displays are ready. We set a date and time. Would be awesome to see all of the displays live!
