Considering they are 9 games back of the wild card and a healthy slate of Trout, Stassi, Rendon, and Cobb adds 9 WAR from only the time they've missed, I'd say every game before those guys got hurt was meaningful

We both know WAR doesn't work like that.

They're actually 2 games better than when Trout got hurt (18-22 after that game, 69-71 now).

It does. It's actually very simple. Project the WAR for X player out for the year and take the difference in WAR with the player that replaced him for that amount of time. Those guys add up to about 9

WAR does not equal wins. If there's any team and any player that it applies to, it's Trout and the Angels.

He's breaking out the splitter early. I like that - they're cheaters, but not a team you can mess around and save stuff for the 3rd, 4th time around.

Looks good, a few pitches could have been called strikes, and their lineup is vicious.
