Not sure about everyone else, but I have a pile of cards that I would like to send in to PSA once they offer Economy/Regular so it's just an easy pick to choose 5 of them. Should have them done tonight and sent tomorrow!

I'm pretty sure that the intent of this was to throw a bone to their active members and test drive the lottery system for when the REGULAR lottery goes live next week. It seems like it didn't matter when you logged in, if you have an active Membership then you got your allocation. I tried at about 2:15pm EST and I still got an allocation and hardly had to wait. They announced it the way they did to drive a rush and test the system.

I'm also guessing this is how ECONOMY returns in the future. It won't be open to the general public and you will have to pay for a membership to get access to submit. It will basically be a discounted REGULAR and you can submit x cards directly at certain times a year or however they decide to roll it out.

I heard the news late and click the link and was #4 in the queue. Their twitter said this is first of several events. Anyone want to throw in their speculation?

What was the backlog when PSA shut things down end of March...10 million? If so, that means they still got 6 million to go. I think I read a while back they like to have at least a million cards in inventory for grading to ensure there's always work for everyone there...they may need two million now that they've double their staff. With 80% resources dedicated to the bulk backlog, I estimate by July they should get through 4 million cards to reopen value service.

$60 back in summer 2020, haven't had to pay for any renewal since. Submitted a bunch of QS and Express orders with it as well, so no complaints at all

$249. But they gave me 15 vouchers up to $499 DV that I got a 4 month turnaround on in the spring. So I’d certainly say it was worth it.
