I don't think it's basketball participants necessarily but more a combination of getting KO'd out of the CL recently and an huge influx of graded copies hitting the market at the same time. We saw the same thing with Mbappe Chrome last year right after the final.

There are almost 50 Sapphire base PSA 10s on Ebay right now and there's plenty more at PSA I'd bet too (I have 5 more there myself and 3 at BGS). Someone from South Korea listed over 20 for auction ending next weekend.

I'd bet they come down to $1500 or so by next weekend. There's way too much of it right now for sale.

Hey yall! I just bumped into this forum and glad to be a part of the community!

Do you all think that Haaland cards will drop in the fall like it did last year? Obviously impossible to predict.

I see that the Euro cup, possible transfer, shorter off-season, and even Dortmund (if he stays) within striking range of the top 4 this year as things that may reduce the odds of a sharp decrease like last year but on the other hand, his cards have been straight mooning.

Thanks all!

We're going to have the shortest 'off season' maybe ever this year, ie in terms of no football being on. Despite not playing, I expect Haaland to stay in the spotlight of transfer rumors. So hard to really say, but the logic for 'no' is certainly there.

Agreed. The (NFL) football card market could be an indicator of this. Young guns like Kyler Murray and Josh Allen were back to setting all-time highs within 6 weeks of the Super Bowl.

https://www.caughtoffside.com/2021/0...and-ultimatum/

"Mino Raiola is currently negotiating with Borussia Dortmund and warning that if they do not allow Erling Haaland to leave this summer, he'll ensure the player moves to Bayern Munich in 2022 - a direct domestic rival. Raiola wants Haaland out of Dortmund asap."

Missing a zero? Drops are not a surprise.

That would be very bad for bundesliga, bayern already won the last 9 years, but good for Haaland and his value

Diamond hands. His sapphire is a once in a generation card. As soon as transfer talk reignites, so will prices. Pop count is almost a non starter because guess what...this is The card of his to have

They were expecting to go further in CL and becoming top scorer of it.
Future predictions are baked into the price.

Just like Luka dropping and dropping even getting a triple double all the time.
Because every one knows they won't do anything in the playoffs and he won't win MVP.

This is how this hobby works.

Card will drop even more.

Agreed, and with no Euros for Norway along with Dortmund (very possibly) being stuck playing on Thursday nights next season, we could def see a dip overall I think.

That is if he stays at Dortmund, which you never know. Mino Raiola will go crazy with the press trying to force the move, Dortmund will hold on for the best price possible. But who is going to afford Haaland's insane fee + wages along with Raiola's cut? Especially knowing they can get him for a cut rate next season. It's pretty much only MCFC that can stomach that cost.

Anyone watching all the sapphire cards ending soon on EBay? Seems like some fishing bidding, right?

I wonder what Haaland wants?

Let's not forget that the player makes the final decision, not the agent....

Hahahahaha!!! Not when Raiola is involved. The final decision is whatever best lines his bank account with the most money!!

It's not just Raiola, sadly his father Alf wants an equal cut too.

Yes I know. The last rumour floating around was talking Euro 10,000,000 EACH for Raiola and his father. That is on top of whatever needs to be paid to Dortmund and then Erling's contract/weekly wages as well. Utter and total insanity......
