Anyone else seen anything like this in any of their spellbounds?

I have one that has the same exact thing, down to the A only being half onthe card. The front centering looks fine on mine.

I’ve been holding my sealed case for a couple weeks now trying to decide what to do with it but I decided I would open two boxes today. Here is a pic of my first box. Haven’t opened the second one yet.

A lot of people are probably keeping sealed to sell later.

Blowout upped their offer on these boxes from $400 to $410. Seems like an interesting increase, no?

They are just trying to see if they can get more by upping the price in small incraments.

I'm holding. These boxes are worth that if you rip them on a normal box.

The good boxes are worth triple that.

The interesting thing about this product is that breakers aren't breaking it so not much of it is getting opened. Less product being opened = less of it drying up. I'm going to guess that this won't increase in price as much as a product that's being gobbled up by breakers. We shall see.

This is the first product in a long time that actually has good value if you can get them for $450 a box or less for regular customers.

That's why it should go up.

Donruss and Hoops aren't breaker products and look how high they have gotten.

Oh, I agree that they will go up, just not as fast.

Hoops and Donruss started out MUCH cheaper than $300 a box which this was close to if you got in at the bottom.

There's back and forth all the time on this board but here's what it boils down to: 2019-20 product will continue to rise as long as Zion stays healthy and matures into the generational talent he's pegged to be. He's on that path right now for sure. And a LOT of that hype is being baked in to all hobby releases.

This has been said a few times in various threads, but worth repeating.

Next year's draft class is projected to be weak.

That'll drive 18-19 and 19-20 up in price even more as a whole.

I just looked at BO’s pricing and saw that Donruss is $1K per box. Wow. I remember scoffing when it came out and not buying any when my LCS had it for $180!

Yeah. And I'm pretty sure we could've picked up a CASE of this for sub $2000 on BO back in Jan/Feb. Wish I would've grabbed a case or 5.

Yep, and Elite Breaks better than Donruss boxes.

So what's going to happen to this wax in a month or 2 when it really dries up.

Does elite break better then Donruss? I know those Net Marvels are popular as hell.

I bought my case in January for $2,000 and sold the Net Marvels for I believe $3,700. I think they have cooled a tad since then. I was willing to pay $4,000 for one more case but missed the boat. So at the moment it is not a good break for the price but one could argue it is far better than Elite, if for example it were selling for the price of an Elite box.

Those Net Marvels are big hits. I've got 2 of the Luka base and was shocked to see one go for 140 bucks the other day. Its steadily putting the Press Proof out of my price range.

I am still surprised that this product hasn't been more popular. I think it is still one of the better value rips at $450. Spellbounds alone bring back $50-$100 per box. Tons of numbered stuff. Etc.

I have now completed spellbounds for: Lebron, Luka, & Curry and am 2 letters from finishing up Giannis. I will get some pics up once they all arrive in the mail.

I agree... it'll only be a matter of time before it goes up!

Default Panini Elite

Does anyone know how you could identify a fake red Zion from this set?

When a product is online only, it seems to take a while longer to get going. Boxes are scooped up by bots and are held. Products explode the more that is opened by regular collectors like me. I have not even thought about Elite. I watched a few breaks and it was ok. The crazy prices of boxes has done damage to the collector side and people who like opening packs. Very limited works both ways.
