On the flip ...

One of my employees was experiencing "symptoms consistent with (his) seasonal allergies" .... no fever .... but of course he went to try and get tested, and the hospital let him take a test. Now our lab is shut down until he gets his results back. I'm forced to telework until he gets his negative result back.

As another co-worker put it ... "where were the adults??"

I just couldn't believe they administered a test to him. I couldn't believe he went to get tested. He's put a dozen people at home for probably a week.

I read a local article that same day about "seasonal allergies and COVID-19" ... it said "if you're experiencing symptoms of seasonal allergies ... don't worry, it's probably nothing!". It said that, in this climate. I'm just beside myself that a hospital would test a 23-year-old male with no preexisting conditions and no symptoms other than what is consistent with allergies.

Maybe being a worker bee makes working from home fun. Being a manager and technical lead ... not so much. I'm spending all my time trying to keep up with everyone.
