I didn't get that notice.

I do remember seeing/hearing promises that student loan debt would be wiped out or at least knocked down by $10k or more. How is that working out for so many?

Will the lenders take Luis Robert and Bo Bichette gem slabs as payment?

I plan on spending my entire DOGE check on cards, just waiting on it.

They might consider it, but I would sweeten the deal with some Wander Franco numbered to 50 or less cards to increase your chances.

[QUOTE=anusinha;19909702]LOL, tariffs. Turned out to be a giant nothing burger, continue with your daily panic.[/QU

In my 1 person experience (N==1) this year compared to past years, I think buyers are more cautious in terms of offers sent to me and purchasing than years before. That said it may be explained by many factors other than the economic climate. Buyers may be smarter and less influenced by external hype, my lack of offering auctions, my prices etc. etc. but i have noted a small difference none the less

Companies prepared for the tariffs in Jan/feb by stocking up supplies. Some of these imported supplies will run out by June.

You were warned.

I think I been calling them two and a half penny sleeves the last few years. three-penny sleeves if i get the premium brand.

Look like they took the tariffs off from Ultra Pro, so they are back to normal prices at the LCS.

I think Best Buy and Target sell the 500ct of these too, $6.99?

Maybe, They are still cheaper then a dozen Eggs. Well (non pasture raised) at $4.99.

Eh, who needs sleeves anyway. Put those cards unprotected in that top loader.

The smart approach would be to pass supply costs onto the consumer, that's the American way!

As someone who primarily buys, and sells only to fund other purchases, I'll opine that there are a lot of different factors in play depending on the individual. I'm financially secure (no debt, plenty of savings), but am also fairly disciplined in terms of discretionary spending in general.
My collecting budget for this year is actually 20% higher than last year, but I honestly haven't found that much new product out there that I want to collect. So I'm actually significantly under budget right now. I've done Heritage (as I do most years), and will do Chrome Platinum Anniversary if/when it ever gets released, but the rest of my spending has largely been on singles related to collecting projects from previous years. I haven't bought any singles from any other 2025 products.

My hypothesis is that the high price of wax, combined with the deteriorating quality of products, is causing people to be a little more cautious when it comes to new releases. Whereas in the past, people might have bought a box or two of a product to rip for fun, this year they're thinking twice about it. And that's trickling down to the singles market, especially for all the zillions of parallels that are very thinly collected (if at all) and all the scrub autos.

You can get 10,000 for $75 after tax and shipping so still under a penny in bulk.
I wasn't joking about ordering the 10,000 sleeves haha

Portland's USPS been sitting on my money for about 24 hours now, if they don't hurry the hell up I'm gonna start taxing them! Hookers don't take IOU's.

So close to that 35 cut off my financial consultant warned me about.

what's with these posts? is this supposed to be impressive, what exactly are we supposed to gain from this kind of post without any kind of breakdown of what you are selling, and what you paid for it.

If I sold chunks of my collection I'd be getting checks like that too, but there's quite a bit of relevant info missing from your posts but considering you were buying a few years ago and selling now I can't imagine it's great!

I'm backing up all my talk, I'm still finishing sets like I always have been just not starting newer modern sets. Do my posts upset you?

My finances are doing great, thanks. If you've got 100k in Project 2020 and NFT's that's quite an impressive assortment.

My financial consultant solt says I don't have to pay any taxes so there is that.

Anyone going to the 'Las Vegas Card Show' over Father's Day weekend? The family and I are passing through on vacation during that time and I'm planning on going that Saturday - - never been to anything other than local shows in the STL area, so excited to hit this one up!
