Not into the Siff Clemente, reminds me of Koufax which I also didn't like. I know it's very "Siff" and I'll still get one to finish out my Siff run and hope it grows on me but mehhhhhhh.

APs for the Rivera and Mattingly still up after 25 minutes. I couldn't do it either...

Siff may be the most polarizing artist. I look at that card and I see an alien. Others think it is brilliant. But once again, the beauty of the set.

Rochester Rivera: I'm a big fan of both Rochester and bubble gum pink, so this was meant for me.

Siff Clemente: I'm confused. Siff signs his cards, so he must see how bad all of this small text looks in person? Unless it's supposed to just be background, but there. Is. So. Much. Tiny. Text. I like the design otherwise.

Grotesk Mattingly: Too much black-on-navy action. Grotesk's Mo is still The Great Grotesk Yankees card.

Of course Clemente sold out first. It's a great card, AND Siff kept it horizontal, like it's supposed to be.

Don't sleep on that one, P2020 collectors.

This is the first time in the whole set I have seen a card and said “I hate it”. I am all for artists and appreciate what they do, but no way would I ever buy that for my Clemente collection. It’s just not him. And I get it, it’s siffs work and I do like some of his other stuff, but that one just seems so wrong to me.

I see the alien. The gold 1/1 suits the card nicely, though.

I understand. My eyes don't go towards the person's image on the card. They go to all the writing and good words of wisdom.

I haven't been a fan of some of the other Siff cards, but this one I love. Behind Ted Williams, Clemente was my second childhood hero, and he was almost my first. My point being...I'm a huge fan of Clmente, and his words make that card great to me. Not the image(s), per se.

For once I am going to take a positive spin on a card that is quite different from the original. I think what Rochester did here was a great example of reimagining the Mariano RC. Most agree that the original is not the best card standing under some bleachers with nothing indicating a Yankee great was even a Yankee.

Knowing what we know now about Rivera's amazing career Rochester kept the original pose and the original shirt and turned it into a nice Yankee card. Even the holding up of the 42 Jersey seems more special than I always felt it was. I am a big fan and did grab an AP.

Looks like the Mariano AP finally sold out after 45 minutes! I feel like some of that is the earlier drops for the past 2 weeks.

The 3 pack format really makes buying tricky- I'm not sure how many cards I don't like enough to pay $10 for them. Completely changes the calculus.

I like the Rivera card as well. Easily the best card today, at least to my eyes.

Looks like the last 3 weeks are going to be fun!
I need a foil count. I missed some of them apparently

2 Trout - Siff and Taylor
1 Thomas - Thiele
1 Ryan - JK5
1 Mattingly - Edfot
1 Griffey - Baller (Missed this one)

3 more?

I’m on Team Efdot/Fucci/Blake/Beck/Shore/Thiele [thank you for reminding, Oli!] in preferring vertical, even if I like some of the horizontal cards. Some of them look like Topps Minis compared to 1955 Topps, particularly the really busy ones like Siff’s.
