Philly Gets - John Collins, Galinari, Bogi + Charlottes top 18 protected and one of Jalen Johnson/Shariff Cooper

Atlanta Gets - Tobias Harris & Ben Simmons - by taking on Harris I feel like Atlanta has to give up less because they are taking a lot of high-dollar long term value off Philly's books.

Offseason - Philly trades Bogi + Gallo + whatever else for Harden in a sign-an-trade

2022 Starting Lineups (roughly)

Philly: Maxey - Harden - Curry - Collins - Imbiid
Atlanta: Ben - Trae - Hunter - Haris - Capela
Brooklyn: Kyrie - Bogi - J. Harris - KD - Center

Anywhere close? Throw in whatever protected pics / role players / salary match needed.

Ultimately, with questions around Harden LT in Brooklyn you have to think Morey is just holding out for a Simmons for Harden Sign-an-Trade in the offseason which might work better for Brooklyn - Simmons defense to go with Kyrie and KD offense versus just more offense with Bogi and Gallo.

Liking Ime Udoka more and more... "When asked what changed in the 2nd half, Ime Udoka joked "Probably the time of day. Looked like we woke up at halftime."Aaron Nesmith got some run down the stretch for Boston, which has been a rarity this season. Udoka said "He really brought great energy and intensity. Even in the first half, he had good energy when we were searching. Then in the second half, his energy and intensity and effort helped change the game. That's why we went with him for so long."

That quote is just the tip of the iceberg of what coach said, ending with "Really rolling so we went with him in the fourth quarter." Or as the next questioner put it, "It's like... you have to learn on the fly. It's like learning to fly, while you're in the air, on the plane."

remember the beginning of the season when members here kept trying to label this kid as a "bust" ... when in reality he's leading his team to more wins than Luka or Trae can muster. Cream of the '18 class rising to the top

interesting, have to take your word on that. You don't think Ja or Bane has anything to do with it?

JJJ’s defense brings more to that team than anything else.

It was discussed earlier how valuable Gobert is to Utah. Golden State is elite when Draymond is playing. I think JJJ is that defensive game changing big for Memphis. 5 more blocks today and he's played 18 minutes. The DPOY discussion is coming.

I love JJJ and I think he's great.

But absolutely no one can look at what this team is doing and be like yeah, JJJ is the one leading them.

So, just for fun, if we assume JJJ is the best player and leader of the Griz, then who on the Mavs and the Hawks is as good as Ja is on the Griz?

I have to watch more then. Could be comparable to Nesmith on Celtics. The energy thing.

I've seen every NBA game Gobert has played so I enjoy when other fans see his importance to the Jazz. I'll say this, and I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this, we're at best in the play-in tournament without Gobert. More likely a lottery team. But...I also know that Don is more valuable in the playoffs. I think they realize that they compliment each other on the court. We just need better pieces around them to compete for a championship. I have a feeling we'll see the Jazz FO make a couple trades before the deadline.

LeBron apologizing to the fans on the same day the Cavs beat the Nets, and go 1.5 games out of first, is so awesome

To be fair I’m not mad LeBron left. He earned it after the title.

I’m being facetious… but he definitely wants to come back.

Mobley is everything he wants Davis to be

He's not dumb.

Garland + Mobley + Allen? He shows up, bring cheap veterans and that's a championship team.

LeBron is not stupid enough to ruin his legacy by going back to Cleveland so he can get another bandwagon title. Or maybe he is.

I have a gemmable raw rookie red Gobert PMG if you want to trade.

It'll be interesting to see what the East looks like by the All-Star break. Chicago will probably continue to fall until Lavine is back along with Brooklyn until KD gets back.

Ja was out for 12 of those games, starting right then on 11/28. Grizz went 10-2. Bane is great in his role as a shooter and he needs to get some MIP consideration, but he doesn't anchor the D and lead to wins like JJJ does.

The stats guys from TNT just came up with a handy little graphic, which I then posted a screenshot of, that literally just proves it.

"Since Thanksgiving" = "once Ja got injured for 12 games"

Don't get me wrong, I love Ja, he's the "engine" to the offense if you will, and he's great at it - but as we've seen over and over again, it's very hard to lead to Wins. And it's very hard for a small PG to be the best player on a title team. Only Curry has done it that I can think of, and he's the best shooter of all-time and has had an all-time great team around him as well.

If the Grizz get to that "True Contender" status, it'll be because JJJ is taking the leap. Ja is already there, and was already there before his injury - ie - he's likely pretty close to his ceiling right now. Whatever clicked once he went down is why they're sitting atop the NBA Power Rankings right now, and why they're one of the few 30-win teams in the league right now.

I think JJJ is the difference between them being a fringe playoff team and a contender and I would even say he's the most important player on the team.

But he's no better than Ja. Ja is playing at an All-NBA level, JJJ (even when just using the current run) is a borderline All-Star at best.

It's a symbiotic relationship.

Memphis absolutely needs JJJ's rim protection. But they also require Ja's alpha mentality/prowess in late game situations, and ability to orchestrate the offense.

JJJ offense is as much as a liability as Ja's defense, and the team's been winning in spite of both. I'd say it's more the entire team has gel'd with greater cohesiveness, with the added emergence of Bane and increased bench contributions.

The team is 11-3 since Ja's return to the lineup. During that stretch, JJJ has 40/24% splits from the field. But his defense cannot be overlooked or understated.

Memphis needs both these guys to thrive in order to take the next step. They're not mutually exclusive.
