Was there a cheaper/faster option during the pandemic backup that was authentication only? Thought there may have been but might be thinking of auto authentication.

If not then yeah, I agree there's probably something going on with the card.

His 2022 card is a helmet toss.

Was briefly discussed a few months ago. I think I was the only one that said it shouldn't be read into too much and easily could just be the owner wanting it slab protected. But majority disagreed with me and thought it likely was a psa 8 or worse quality with surface damage.

I do think it's extremely unlikely it's a 9 or better if it's in an auth slab, but I also think k there's something to Auth looking better than a grade 7 or worse for a card like that. And something like that is a lot easier to move in a slab, since it opens up a bunch of auction options that aren't available for raw.

Based on what I see in my Price Index, him being a DH hardly matters at all. It may matter in the end if it's the difference between the HOF and HOVG, but other than that, no. Even then, it might not matter.

fulltritty nailed it on the head. It's all about the hitting.

Because he's "just a DH" in the outfield which equates to no respect.

Ty France is slightly faster than Rowdy Tellez, and he was still two steps from third base when Yordan fielded the ball.

Even sending Trae Turner would've been risky. That ball was in shallow left field. So speed wasn't even an issue IMO. But yeah, it was funny seeing a dude built like a brick house find his inner Usain Bolt.

To be fair, in Houston there is no deep left field.
